This app is incredible, one of the finest I have used so far, I have just installed extra modes and I am working on not just getting into understanding the modes but applying them to songs and different keys. The circle of 5ths, doesn’t just give you the insights into the different steps but highlights the major and minor chords for each key, this is brilliant for practicing scales. I love writing songs and now I not only have chords choices from the usual groups, but also the chords of other modes, as well as finding unusual ‘fits’ for melodies. Hugely recommended!! One thing that I think is missing to get to 5 stars is the possibility to modify chords from the piano or guitar fingering directly and let the app recognise what the new chord would be and save it as it is. I’ve been looking for this for ages. That it also offers suggestions and all the extras is only great to me. App design quality to me seems no less than stellar. I would like to have it as an option that the chords of a part are not shown anymore if they have been shown before under the same part title. I love how organized and structured my songwriting gets, plus it teaches me about different scales and chord functions which opened a complete new toolbox for me! One thing that would make it even cooler is if I could change the way the chord is build up, so for example instead of a C chord like C E G, also the possibility of playing it back in E G C (in the piano) Also for me, as a beginning guitarplayer, these different finger positions for the same chord would be helpful (and cool to add to the songwriting options). Only thing I though was strange was the extra in-app purchase to unlock all types of chords. After already paying for the app this doesn’t feel right... After all, the app is worth paying for because it allows you to experiment with Chords, so I did. But from that point it’s expected to have all chords available.. It would make more sense to pay a one-time fee to access existing song chords.. My wish list: - include manyyyyy more chords from existing songs! - in songwriting mode it would be wonderful to get suggestions for the next chord, with complexity control!
