Touch Pianist is a musical toy / instrument that allows the user to perform hard-to-play classical piano music favorites (from composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Satie, Debussy to name a few) just by tapping the rhythm of the piece's particular sound events on a computer keyboard or a touch screen. It also provides live visualisation of the pieces that are being performed. There is no score keeping, the user is free to perform the music in any way they wish. The premise is that it is really fun to perform a piece you know well, exactly like you feel it with so little effort. Touch Pianist has CoreMIDI support so you can use your favorite piano / sound plug-in in your computer as a sound source if you wish. Some of the highlights from the included pieces: Debussy - Clair de Lune Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata (All movements) Erik Satie - Gymnopédies (1, 2 and 3) Chopin - Most popular pieces, and all 24 preludes Bach - Well Tempered Klavier Book 1 (All preludes and fugues) Beethoven - Pathetique Sonata (All movements) Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Brahms, Schumann and many, many more! Playing them is extremely fun, and no prior musical skill is needed. Give it a try and you'll see. ## Touch Pianist Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple5/v4/7b/44/1d/7b441d2a-ae81-c63a-a62f-46d18bf9c53a/pr_source.png/960x640.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple1/v4/4f/87/3e/4f873ef0-c22c-a9a7-f090-6a8bad51a285/pr_source.png/960x640.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple1/v4/ea/13/c5/ea13c581-f92e-881f-e1b2-68ea3993a2e5/pr_source.png/960x640.png) ## Touch Pianist Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 43 (39%) - 4 stars: 8 (7%) - 3 stars: 10 (9%) - 2 stars: 9 (8%) - 1 stars: 39 (36%) ## Touch Pianist Reviews in United States ### *---- "Abandoned" I think this app has been abandoned. It no longer has any images in iOS 18. It still has sound, but no pictures. -- TeddyBella71, 2024-10-07 ### *---- "Literally doesn’t work" Don’t waste your time or storage space. This game DOES NOT WORK. Even if it did, everything is locked behind a paywall. The web version is a little better, but not by much. The last update was 8 years ago. This is abandoned. It’s not even adapted for newer phones. DO NOT GET THIS GAME! -- alpine488, 2024-05-01 ### *---- "Ingenious App, if only it worked" After discovering this ingenious creation online, I rushed over to the app store and bought some song sets only to find out it won’t work on ANY of my apple devices. The website used to have some limited free access but unfortunately the developer seems to have shut that off with a message prompting you to download the apps, the same apps that do not appear to work on any modern version of ios. Very frustrating. This is a brilliant creation that brought me a lot of joy (in the short time I got to experience the limited access) and it’s a shame that almost no one gets to experience it now. -- Ajibiade, 2024-04-25 ### ***-- "Could be better" This app really helps with tempo and relaxation but unlike my Chromebook, it doesn’t show me playing it on my phone. It would also be nice if we had more songs to play, maybe if you watched an AD to unlock the songs so that the game still produces money while being more enjoyable. -- amazing 100% but addictive, 2024-01-27 ### **--- "TLS handshake problems" This is really fun on the website (http://touchpianist.com) but the app doesn't appear to work. Looking at the logs, it looks like there are some TLS handshake errors. I suspect the app is trying to go and download some resources, but maybe the certificate expired or the CDN stopped supporting TLS 1.0/1.1 or something like that. "boringssl_session_handshake_error_print(43) [C6.1.1:2][0x13831da10] Error: 5237776456:error:1000042e:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:TLSV1_ALERT_PROTOCOL_VERSION:/AppleInternal/Library/BuildRoots/8ca92091-1d5a-11ee-a938-46d450270006/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/boringssl/ssl/tls_record.cc:594:SSL alert number 70" -- Touch Pianist, 2023-10-20 ### *---- "Nothing on screen" There is only a blank screen. If I tap on the screen, it does play. But it’s not like the website. Until it is fixed I’m giving it one star. -- meowzero, 2023-09-24 ### **--- "Want to buy" I want to buy the full package, but as others have mentioned, i can only see a dark blue screen and no notes. If its updated appropriately, id come back and buy. -- dannymyboi, 2023-09-15 ### *---- "Broken" As another reviewer saw on their iPad, on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, the notes don’t display at all. There is just a static dark blue screen when you’re playing a piece. -- FigMcFig, 2023-09-11 ### *---- "Broken" It just doesn’t work (iPhone 13 Pro up to date) - songs just don’t load, the screen stays empty -- thire33001, 2023-09-10 ### *---- "Not working on my iPhone." Just a blue screen :-( -- Zapafej, 2023-09-08 [View all Touch Pianist reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Touch Pianist In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Unlock Everything | $11.99 | | Satie -
