TouchOSC supports sending and receiving any number of MIDI and OSC messages on many connections simultaneously. On top of OSC over UDP & TCP, we support every type of wired & wireless MIDI connection your device can offer, including MIDI over USB.

Multiple instances of TouchOSC can be connected on the network for synchronized editing. Use the precision of your desktop's mouse and keyboard for fine-grained, detailed editing - test-drive and preview in real-time on all connected touch-screen devices at the same time.
Scripting and local messages.
A lightweight and fast scripting engine allows deep access to all aspects of your controller and enables limitless customization and interactivity. For less complex tasks we've added local messages - simply wire up controls to transmit or display values; no need to break out the big (code) guns. Easy.

We've supported and updated TouchOSC Mk1 for more than 10 years and we're planning to do the same for this new version. We've already got a whole bunch of features cooking that were just not quite ready yet. There is so much more to come...

Cannot make it recibe midi in ableton

Really difficult app no clear instructions cannot revive signal in ableton useless atm for me (iPhone 14 pro and MacBook 14 pro)

Replaced Lemur

I’ve been a Lemur user for a decade now and with them dropping support I thought I’d check out Touch OSC again. The improvements in this new version are incredible. Everything I wanted from Lemur and put together really well. The Bridge software runs seamlessly on my mac as well, can disconnect and reconnect my phone by usb cable at will and it picks up the connection with no fuss.

The best OSC app by far

Having tried a few others, the new TouchOSC is significantly better than other OSC apps. It is cross platform and is being actively developed. Being able to edit and share layouts across multiple devices is an awesome feature.

Its a mess

Zero Ducks given for user experience. The editor is the worst GUI I have ever seen in my life. No wonder you went solo and didnt stick with a company as a developer. Total waste of time and money.

OSC must have app

This is a very useful app, but the editor is what I’d call 'Clunky' and mass editing is not at all friendly, that’s not to say the editor doesn’t have some excellent features because it does and visually creating your design layout is very easy. However if you have time / taken the time to think about your work flow in TouchOSC you can make future edits to OSC address and build a little less painful. It’s not my favourite OSC touch controller but it’s my favourite in the App Store, for most people I know it’s is the one I’d not hesitate to recommend as it’s far less technically challenging than other options yet still really powerful and you can do some really cool stuff with this app.

This solves all the limitations of the original TouchOSC

Ignore the 1 star reviews. The connections both for editing and controlling other programs and hardware are solid and reliable. It runs on almost any platform, desktop or mobile, and you can edit on multiple devices simultaneously. The functionality without using scripts allows things that required really complex scripting in programs like Lemur to be achieved easily. The documentation could be much better, and the fact that I wasn’t even aware this new version existed for 5 months, and the small number of reviews here is a reflection on the lack of effective promotion. But potentially this could be the last word in OSC and MIDI controller software. I’ll need to give it a rigorous workout before using it for mission critical projects. But so far I’m really, really impressed.

Disappointing

I have the original version of TouchOSC which works OK, but this new version doesn’t even connect. The manual isn’t very helpful and, as another reviewer has said, there aren’t any video tutorials. Would give zero stars if I could.

Very disappointing

I had mk 1 and used it but found it really awkward. I had hoped this would be better after such a long time since the releases. Unfortunately it is not. Difficult to connect. Poor documentation. No practical examples. No you tube stuff. Video on website is self indulgent crap. It is like showing a paint brush and some paint then showing the Mona Lisa. It obviously works as you can connect to reaper with a template but no guidance on customising. Come on guys put up a tutorial on how to connect and setting up basic midi and OSC projects. And finally why would you buy a licence for the desktop app - it offers absolutely nothing. Very disappointed.
