Like not Saving my mobile # that I Verified via texted code to my phone. Then requiring text verification AGAIN for the SAME PHONE # in the Home field below that. And a third time for “Work” field even though I did not list it as a work number before; i had left it blank bc I am retired. But some genius wiped out my previous settings forcing me to re-verify the same phone number and same email address I have used for years. SIX TIMES for the same phone # bc apparently we’re not allowed to leave the Work field empty. The Same # was already listed in “Mobile” and “Home” fields anyway, so why is it necessary in a third field? That just means I must “Verify” it 3x instead of 2x for each category (“Profile” and “Contact”)—so 6x total instead of 4x. But bc system didn’t Save my verification for all 6x, I will have the pleasure of starting over next time I log in. Ideally I should only have to verify one phone # just once. Why is the TFCU software not able to apply my verification for the SAME phone number the very first time, system-wide (for all sections)? Requiring separate verification text/call 6x is ridiculous. Then there are the expense category labels that now show up under each debit in checking account. NOT HELPFUL if the WRONG category label is assigned! E.g., “Clothing” for Culligan Water softener monthly rental. Then there is the new Time zone field that is buried in I forget which record. despite having moved to the Central Time Zone 19 years ago, Tower now says I live in the Eastern time zone—and does not allow me to Edit that field. This is not all the problems I have encountered either; it’s just the ones I had to deal with tonight. -- mh in mn, 2025-01-05 ### *---- "App is worse than useless" The app regularly locks my account and forces me to reset my password even if I have no prior failed log in attempts. It’s now to a point I reset my password and it is automatically locked half the time when logging in. I have to create a new password almost once a week. It’s making it near impossible to make payments or manage my account. This has caused me to transfer my main banking to a new bank for a useable experience. -- SlipperyBucket, 2024-12-30 ### ****- "New app is mostly ok" It’s occasionally buggy but overall works fine. The biggest current issue is the lack of dark mode. Then you have to call to unlock it and make a new password. The old app offered a seamless login, native app experience, and access to widgets. The new app does not offer widgets, is a hybrid app with a web-based feel, and I’ve had numerous issues with login. The latest issue is that the app says my account is locked and I need to call for help. When I called for help, they said they don’t see any issues with the account, but there’s nothing they can do to assist me on a Sunday. I’ll have to call back during business hours. Needless to say, not being able to do my banking when I need to is a strong deterrent to doing banking with TFCU. -- AWBriggs, 2024-10-06 ### *---- "Needs Fixing" I’ve been using the app since it was made. Always work well until I updated my iOS. Now it just crashes once I sign in. No more budgeting and net worth feature which was incredibly helpful. Now it struggles to accurately track my monthly expenses. About every other day it doesn’t work with facial ID and forces us to re-enter our password on our iPhone but doesn’t accept it. Then it locks our account and we have to enter a new password. In 2weeks it is now our 6th new password. And yesterday and today the transfer part won’t load. Clocks for 5 minutes and the days Oops. Did actual users ever test run this! Terrible, terrible, terrible. 2 months on and this app is still by far the worse app I have ever encountered. It regularly, seemingly doesn’t accept our credentials on one of our iPhone 15s which cause us to reset passwords on all iPhones and desktop computers. And when we can actually access our account it will just hang while trying to access functions. -- Bad apps cost customers, 2024-09-08 ### *---- "Excessive logging out."
