Toyota Link FAQ
Is Toyota Link free?
Yes, Toyota Link is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Toyota Link legit?
⚠️ The Toyota Link app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The interface suggests I should be able to send a route using the app to the car display. Nothing happens. No clear way of observing if my device is connected to the car properly. When connecting a device with a physical cable you get a dialog that the app can’t be used while the device is connected this way. What? Why?
Send to car doesn’t work
Send to car doesn’t work anymore. It did work in the previous version.
Latest update is rubbish
Toyota, please remove the need to have ‘full time access to phone location’ and ‘notifications on’ requirements for iPhone.
There is no need for the app to use my location when I’m not using it. Nor do I need the distraction of notifications whilst driving.
Fully updated iPhone 13 Pro
Useless, don’t waste your time.
Completely useless. Can’t be used when connected to the audio system in the car. Couldn’t work out how this app would be useful or meaningful. So I deleted.
Truly awful
Don’t bother… go straight to Apple Car play
There’s a reason this app has one of the lowest ratings in App Store
Took to dealer I bought car from 2 weeks ago… he gave up
Pathetic
I bought myself a brand new 79 series. Paid 93k for it and I’m now spending a further 3k to UPGRADE the headunit so I no longer need to rely on this pathetic app. If it decides to work, it usually informs me the route requires walking a certain distance. It regularly guides me to the opposite side of the block, I can be parked outside my required location and there it is on the “trusty headunit” still trying to send me elsewhere.
Sometimes after giving up on the app and typing the address directly into the headunit it’s an extremely slow process. It even close to good enough from Toyota on all accounts.
I can’t add any more app on my car
I can’t download any app by this application,, I don’t know what’s this for , even it doesn’t connect to my car .
Pointless. Useless
This app offers no functions at all for a Prado without sat nav built in.
Use google maps and ignore this app- waste of time
Behind the times
The app isn’t working, again. Not only do Toyota lack technology, they also lack the basic phone connections for the app. The app offers really nothing. Besides the fact that you can prep pan your trips before you leave (providing the app decides to work)
Toyota stink (link)
Seriously the crappest APP and head unit in car history. They must have responded to a spam email to get this made. It must not be hurting the bottom to have them continuing with the pile o’ trash piece of software.
