Here’s a practical letter forming tutor to help children bring their handwriting journey to life. Now every 5-8yo can learn how to write clear and readable letters with the correct stroke formation. Writing is a key skill your child can’t do without. It’s a huge step for them, but the good news is ... if they can draw and color in, they can learn to write by hand. All that’s needed is to discover how smart their fingers can be at making all the ABC shapes. From here, their words can flow out onto any page. Here’s how it works: 1) Fun illustrations show your child the word they’ll spell. 2) Now the letters appear onscreen, and they’ll see each one traced out clearly before they try for themselves. They’ll also hear the phonetic sounds to help them. 3) Next, they trace out the shapes they see, one at a time. 4) Trace Kids keeps your child on track with regular rewards and repeat practice. 5) As your child’s confidence grows, trickier words help them develop their handwriting skills. Literacy Begins With Letter Tracing — and Letter Tracing Begins With Trace Kids Take a Closer Look .... Fun Illustrations Set The Scene: Bright and colorful pictures light up your child’s learning. Everything Is Spelled Out: Every letter begins with a clear demonstration. They’ll see the letter written out for them using the correct stroke. The more they trace accurately, the more this encourages neat results. Immediate Feedback: Staying on track helps your child to learn precise letter formation quickly. So when their hand goes astray, gentle coaching primes them for another go. Your Child’s Writing Skills Grow With Every New Word: It won’t surprise you to discover the first letters they will see are the easy ones. As trickier letters appear, they will already know they can handle the easy stuff. That’s a great confidence boost. Write The Word, Hear The Sounds! Your child already knows the word sounds, and these are powerful memory anchors when they’re forming the shapes. So they’ll hear the phonetic sounds as they write each letter. All 52 Letters Are Here: Writing depends on a mix of upper and lower case letters — and this is where the Trace Kids Handwriting grid really comes into its own. Some letters reach up high while others swing down low, and when your child progresses from forming letter shapes to forming WORD shapes, you’ll know they mean business. Let’s Make This Easy! Some letters are more difficult to form than others. That’s why difficult letters are repeated more often so you child gains confidence in forming them. For example, g for gnarly! Tracing Shapes Up Those Fingers: Motor skills take a little training, and learning to make accurate alphabet shapes with a pen or pencil takes time. Your Apple stylus leads the way here, developing skills for use with any pen. Simply set the app running, and leave them to practice. Praise, Praise, Praise: Colorful showers of stars reward your child for completed words. That’s a big motivator for tackling the next challenge. Every Child Can Play: You can vary the difficulty to suit your child’s needs. Whatever their ABC knowhow or motor skills, Trace Kids sets a pace to suit them. This means younger kids can watch their siblings play, and then have a go themselves. Nobody is left out. Personalise Your Child’s Learning With Custom Words* Now they can learn to spell the names of everyone in the fam — including pets. Favorite toys and foods can feature too, and you can bring the words to life with imported photos or images. Go crazy! Improves engagement and motivation, and adds to the fun. No Ads: Learning demands focus and attention, so let’s get on with the writing with no distractions. Trace Kids Brings your child’s handwriting to life so their words will always be a pleasure to read. *A one time in-app purchase unlocks all letters/words and allows unlimited custom words. ## Trace Kids Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource115/v4/c0/db/fa/c0dbfae5-103c-21f3-0213-1f9989b67ad7/9cf43399-5609-4ed4-b8fc-ec28645a680f_iphone_1.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource115/v4/9b/49/a0/9b49a07f-4956-1117-564b-4028c7e20ad6/1befb593-083d-4236-9f81-0bf45ba4253c_iphone_2.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource115/v4/f2/38/fe/f238fe03-0bfe-75b9-e45f-2addb73ea80b/7dee7122-0b77-4962-be61-b3c12f485623_iphone_3.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource125/v4/1d/1b/7c/1d1b7c96-8215-60f3-f834-1e9ec4821b46/4badc8cc-af16-4b20-b97d-fcf5416a7b16_iphone_4.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource115/v4/59/ee/85/59ee8564-48ed-2e82-c77a-07fb0e6bcd2a/2cc7fcb3-7ca1-4dd3-8cfe-72a407fc30ef_iphone_5.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource125/v4/ac/4a/7b/ac4a7bbf-5f22-a720-ae51-a28ee5e4be61/2113a26b-482e-4c9c-990a-88f43df0b55d_iphone_6.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource125/v4/0e/69/de/0e69de73-de7f-d9a9-16d8-dde5f95a6bab/c35fedca-25b6-4117-a2bb-ff87580d81df_iphone_7.png/1284x2778.png) ## Trace Kids Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 4 (80%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 1 (20%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Trace Kids In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Upgrade to Full Version | $0.99 | ## Apps Similar to Trace Kids - [ABC learning games for babies](https://apptail.io/app/abc-learning-games-for-babies-amIb/united-states) - [Kids Learning ABC-123-Shapes](https://apptail.io/app/kids-learning-abc-123-shapes-ETDd/united-states) - [Learning Alphabet and Letters](https://apptail.io/app/learning-alphabet-and-letters-USHe/united-states) - [ABC Learn Alphabet Kids Game](https://apptail.io/app/abc-learn-alphabet-kids-game-iCKe/united-states) - [letterTrace](https://apptail.io/app/lettertrace-PCNe/united-states) - [Toddler Games : Age 3-5](https://apptail.io/app/toddler-games-age-3-5-iSdf/united-states) - [Handwriting Tracing Practice](https://apptail.io/app/handwriting-tracing-practice-Pnqf/united-states) - [كتابة الاحرف الانجليزية](https://apptail.io/app/ktab-alahrf-alanglyzy-beWf/united-states) - [Write Alphabets And Numbers](https://apptail.io/app/write-alphabets-and-numbers-hqWf/united-states) - [Super Kids ABC Learning](https://apptail.io/app/super-kids-abc-learning-mOnm/united-states) ## Trace Kids Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/united-states) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/united-kingdom) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/kuwait) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/canada) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/ireland) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/switzerland) - [Ecuador](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/ecuador) - [Hungary](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/hungary) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/iceland) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/italy) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/japan) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/south-korea) - [Kazakhstan](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/kazakhstan) - [Lithuania](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/lithuania) - [Latvia](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/latvia) - [North Macedonia](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/north-macedonia) - [Nigeria](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/nigeria) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/philippines) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/russia) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/sweden) - [Slovenia](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/slovenia) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/ukraine) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/united-arab-emirates) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/south-africa) - [Argentina](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/argentina) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/australia) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/belgium) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/trace-kids-Xsdf/brazil) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
