Great overall
I love the app.. It’s quite something everyone needs to have it.
I am writing this after a month of experience.
Anyway, there are some downsides I’d like to mention.
1. Getting the physical card takes ages, I am still waiting for it but am using my virtual card and it’s doing the job.
2. The difference of the prices of ETFs/Stocks/cryptocurrencies between the prices on the platform and the price after the excution of transactions.
3. When adding money via Visa’master card or Apply pay, there’s a fee of 0.7% (transfer fee)
But if you use money transfer (IBAN) from your bank into your TR account, it’s free of charge but it takes longer time.
4. TR doesn’t have some ETFs like Shwab US dividend equity and Vanguard VOO
Hopefully these things will get sorted out in the near future.
Identification is currently not possible
Similar issue to a number of other reviewers. Tried multiple times to create account using passport, drivers license, etc, but to no avail. Every time I try I am brought to a screen that says - identification is currently not possible.
Never had issues like this with other online vendors like revolut. Maybe this is representative of what the company is like. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Constant crushes
Horrible app, it crashes literally every time I try to verify my id 🤦♀️
Open an Account
I tried to open an account one month ago and I haven't had any answer. When I open the app to have access, the only information is” we’re Setting up…”. That's so annoying.
Missing funds and no support
My 5000 euro deposit has been missing for 10 days now and after contacting support on multiple occasions I have only received automated responses telling me to look at their help centre.

I was looking for a high yield savings account after realising the 4 main banks in Ireland don’t offer anything on uninvested cash. Trading republic is one of the best options out there. I feel confident that my money is safe and transactions are handled in a timely manner.
Not as good as it seems
I tried it out because I heard of the 4% interest on uninvested cash. Setting up the app was relatively simple and frictionless. Once you’re in, the app is not that clear cut and there are some confusing displays. Also there are relatively significant fees for lodging money after the first time.
DONT ADD MONEY USING APPLE PAY/GOOGLE PAY. The app doesn’t save it as a valid bank account and then you can’t withdraw your money. Trying to figure this out from inside the apps support pages was like going around in circles. Useless support pages, no customer service. Eventually I figured it out by sending an actual bank transfer of €1 from Revolut to my Trade Republic account. Then it takes days to save, then it takes days more for you money to come back to you.
Just use Trading 212 instead, same interest, less fees, easier app to use.
Cant even sign up
Been trying to sign up for 2 days still not signed up, firstly tried using a drivers license which they wouldn’t take then used a passport which they have been checking the documents for about 2 days now and still no word or update on anything, reading some of the reviews worries me a bit about this company so I don’t even know if I’ll use it anymore
