With the ad-free Traffic Monitor with built-in Today Extension (Widget) and Watch App you can check your 3G / 4G / 5G speed and keep an eye on network coverage and data usage on your smartphone. Speed test

The speed test of the Traffic Monitor shows you the speed and latency of your UMTS, LTE, NR and Wi-Fi network on a speedometer, separated into upload, download and ping speed. After each test you receive an assessment of your result, comparing it to users in your region. So you can find out if you surf the net faster or slower than the rest of the world. All speed tests are archived with all details and can be accessed anytime and viewed on the integrated map view. The archived data helps you to recognize speed variations quickly.

Coverage

Discover the reasons of bad network performance with Traffic Monitor! The coverage map displays network availability depending on your current position. The network coverage of each provider is shown on the coverage map for select countries, with more countries added over time.

Data usage

Monitor your data usage in a self-specified period of time. Therefore you can set all your details of your data plan like the starting date of your billing period or your maximal data allowance. So you are always well-informed because Traffic Monitor warns you if you have exceeded your specified data volume. The all new Today Extension (Widget) gives you the opportunity to check your current data usage using the Notification Center.

Our latest release allows you to automatically track your data usage on a map, even when you are not actively using Traffic Monitor. You can activate and deactivate the background location feature at any time on the app's settings page.

You may recognize a permanent navigation needle in your status bar when the background location is enabled. Please note that the GPS is not permanently on in that case. Your iPhone just informs the Traffic Monitor application when your location has changed significantly (e.g. during your way to the office). This enables the Traffic Monitor to update your data usage automatically also when you are not actively using the app.

Cant not adjust data traffic

Not accurate

The app gives you a day-to-day log of usage. Which would be awesome if it was at all accurate. My service also gives me a day-to-day log. One day: this app: 1.2GB. My service: 7 MB That’s reporting over 100x how much was actually used. What's going on? It feels like the data is random when i compare to the actual data used.

Extremely inaccurate reporting of cell data usage

I’ve been evaluating this app, along with another traffic monitor app, to evaluate accuracy of cell data usage by comparing with usage values in iPhone settings and what my service provider is reporting. After 21 days of evaluation, this app is reporting over 5 times the amount of cell data usage that’s being reported by iPhone settings, my service provider, and the other app I’m evaluating. Also, after reaching the 50% usage alert level, the app continued to display the 50% alerts every time I ran the app when the usage was still below the 75% alert level, which was very annoying. I would have expected to only see one alert for each of the 3 alert levels.

Perfect system monitoring app

Best of its class so far and it’s free!! The only thing that it could be better is, if we can have different unit other then Mbps, KB/s and MB/s etc.. Other than that, keep up the good work!

Updates

The updates on the widget are always out of date and incorrect.

Extremely useful

I have an expensive data plan, so this is very useful. My only problem is remembering to start it up to keep it working in the background. I should make a Reminder or Calendar event I suppose. Wish I could automate the refreshing it needs.

Not able to get live speed on notification panel.

Amazing app

One of it’s kind app. Would be better if you let us change units.
