Offline Flexibility
Because you know most of the time there is no reception, and even if there is, you want to save your battery in airplane mode. And you'll probably start with a plan that becomes obsolete after a couple of days, due to weather, injury, wildfire closures, or whatever reason.  So you need to be flexible and take it day by day.
