I was a fan of Train station classic. TS2 bears little resemblance to that. The game has been optimized to milk money from you. After the initial gameplay, all the actions you make take 1hr. So you can play for 2-3 mins, then wait an hour to do anything else. Of course, you can pay money to speed it up, but thats very pricey and probably the point for the developers of the game.

I wanted to like this but it’s basically micropayments as a game. No way we could let a train-obsessed child play it, and the limited interactivity would grow stale.

Game is so stupid I need a legendary to do a job in Germany but I can’t because it keeps giving me commons and I just wasted all of my keys you should be ashamed of your selves

I love a game where I can just waste some time on but for This game the only thing I find super annoying is the over production of goods, for example I need 40 barrels, I can’t want to make 210 that’s a waste of storage and materials and a waste of time (in game) so just because of that I would have to give you a 3 - 3 1/2 stars

I just love playing train station 2 with my close friends and loved ones. There is nothing better than the feeling of finally obtaining the legendary train, truly a heart stopping experience. My train always says Choo, Choo, Says my train. I also love playing with my besties, Franklin Hurkle but we just call him gyat! Thank!

I found this game engaging and now I find it enraging. Fair warning: If you’re a trust fund baby or a major lottery winner with unlimited money to spend on fake trains, you will absolutely love this game. If not, you will eventually come to hate it, not matter how much you may love it in the beginning. I know I do. I started with individual play, and got frustrated by competitors obviously spending money to advance and pass me at the last minute. Then they created the “Union” game within the game, teams of 25 players working on shared tasks, competing with other unions, and for a year or so it was fun again. But that familiar corruption soon worked its way in. The union “chat” function is terrible in every way, useless, really. It has never worked well. So, if you want to communicate with fellow union members, you’ll need a Discord server or a Facebook group, or similar. Soon enough, people realized that you can gather a group much larger than the 25 players allowed on any union roster at any given time. They recruited (via Facebook and Reddit, primarily) massive hordes of players. Each union “season” lasts 12 weeks, and the massive hordes churn players through their unions at will, so if you don’t have about 100 players in your group, good luck getting the only reward in this game that’s actually impressive: the 100-capacity train (upgrades required, of course, unless you finish first overall) awarded only to the 25 highest scoring unions after 84 days of hard running. So, we’re back to the same basic problem that drove me away from playing individual competitions in this game: You have to pay (a LOT) to win. AND in today’s union game, you also need to join one of these massive Discord-based groups that can feed 250+ people through a 25-seat union and crush competitors trying to play the same game with 25 people. This is a feature, not a bug, and the developers have made this clear. Pixel Federation staff no longer bothers responding to my support tickets requesting limits on how many players can score points for a union in a given week. They have no interest in fair play. I will henceforth avoid Pixel Federation titles. Zero chance I will ever play the forthcoming Trainstation 3, which will no doubt include even more devious traps to separate competitive fools like me from their money. I have nothing against game developers making money, but when they let greed run amok, when it becomes all about spend and nothing else, I move on and
