## Transplant Alert App Description
The Transplant Alert App (TAA) was created by Manchester Foundation Trust NHS and developed by Desap Enterprises Ltd. TAA is aimed at patients or their nominated representatives on the organ transplant waiting list under the hospitals care to notify them when an organ becomes available. 

Due to the need for rapid response the app is uniquely designed and enabled with Critical Alert permissions, TAAs major elements include;

• Bypass silent and Do Not Disturb modes on users’ phone to ensure critical alerts are never missed

• Standard messaging feature for ensuring your details are up to date and you have notified your Transplant Coordinator of any upcoming holidays etc

• Confirm your availability to attend so your clinical team knows when to expect you

• Invitation only system
 
• Sleek in design and easy to use

Launched in 2020, the benefits of TAA include;

•	Critical alerts to ensure maximum response rate for transplant alert offers
•	Secure access
•	Managed by a bespoke admin system for clear audit trails and robust governance
 
TAA was designed in conjunction with medical professionals within the transplant teams and uses cutting edge technology to aid transplant related communications and benefit public health.

*Critical alerts are not yet enabled for Apple watch
