## Tread® Description
Roam the unknown with the Tread® app. 

It lets you track up to 20 friends on the map of your smartphone and Tread® powersport navigator by using the Group Ride Mobile feature and syncs waypoints, tracks, routes and collections across devices. Easily plan routes on your smartphone with the same maps, vehicle profiles and route preferences you have on your Tread device. Users can import and export GPX files and get access to smart notifications and live weather.

•	Wirelessly sync waypoints, tracks, routes and collections across your compatible smartphone and Tread® powersport navigator
•	Easily calculate faster time or adventurous routes on your smartphone with the same maps, vehicle profiles and route preferences you have on your Tread device 
•	Import and export GPX files to try out new routes or revisit favorite rides
•	Keep your phone safely stowed away, and still get important messages and alerts via smart notifications2 on your Tread® device display when it’s paired with the Tread® app

Zachte punten worden verplaatst door Tread. Leuke binnendoor wegen worden vermeden. Algoritmes kloppen niet meer. Mijn advies niet installeren. In elk geval geen routes synchroniseren met je XT2. Routes op SD card zetten.

### *---- "Alle kritieken zijn al genoemd, maar worden niet opgelost"
De app wil op een nieuwe iPad Air niet verbinden met de Zumo XT2. Terwijl de Zumo aangeeft verbinding te hebben. Het vinden van adressen verloopt uiterst traag, zelfs wanneer de lokatie bijna het volledige beeld vult. De app kan nagenoeg geen nuttige plaatsen vinden. De app kan op een iPad geen routes maken. 

Het zou fijn zijn als Garmin de gebruikers serieus nam. De kritieken op de vele fouten in dit programma zijn terecht. De app is erg onbetrouwbaar.

Hele verbetering ten opzichte van Base Camp. Hopelijk ook snel beschikbaar op PC, want om nu met een paar vrienden een route maken is wel heel zielig op zo’n klein schermpje van een telefoon. En ook hier nu speciaal een iPad voor te kopen……! 😉

The connectivity with XT2 is getting beter. Sometimes it won’t sync everything in one direction (deleting tracks from XT2) or it doubles the tracks (importing updated tracks that has been deleted previously).
The app does send traffic, weather and such to the XT2, but it has never send any iPhone notification! 

Please fix these bugs.

Route schrijven op mijn smartphone leek mij een slecht idee, tegendeel blijkt waar!! Google maps op pc om te kijken waar ik naartoe wil, schrijven op de telefoon! Werkt supper.

Just got a new Zumo XT2, as I had a XT before. Major issues to get it up and running, especially smartphone notifications. The app tells me to go into the menu to enable “smartphone services” can’t find that anywhere. I can only find it on my old XT. Looks like someones been doing a bit to much copy-paste here as on the XT2 things are different. When I finally somehow managed to get around this issue, the XT2 complains to mobile data is not enabled (which is enabled). I’m thinking to return the XT2 and it’s tread app to the store, clearly not a mature product yet…

### *---- "Niet geschikt voor lange routes"
Omdat een route maar 60? viapunten mag hebben om nog in treads te verwerken is deze app ongeschikt voor de echte (motor) toerder.
Een route van 400+ km is voor mij geen uitzondering en zijn 60 viapunten te weinig om de route goed uit te zetten langs alle mooie wegen die je wil rijden. Enige manier is dan toch via basecamp en via pc en kabeltje de route laden. De xt2 kan gelukkig wel een grotere hoeveelheid viapunten verwerken. (Wel even in basecamp alle punten ‘soft’ maken)

Great hardware (XT2), but this app works only with tracks and not the routes. I regret buying the XT2, and wish I still had the XT with the Drive app. Garmin please update the app to the quality standards of your hardware.

Heerlijke duidelijke app kan er inmiddels mee lezen en schrijven. Is heel intuïtief en werkt goed samen. Als je routes maakt en overzet wil de XT2 de leiding daarin nemen en past hij de route aan maar als instellingen gelijk zijn dan in no time een geweldige route. Dit is zoals het bedoeld is Garmin dit is een hele grote stap in de goede richting.

Alle routes worden op een of andere manier herberekend. In combinatie met de Explore bibliotheek worden geïmporteerde routes compleet anders dan je gemaakt hebt. Routes met tread maken is ook niet wat het moet zijn. Zet Tread maar uit in combinatie met de XT2. Dus Garmin, los dit eens op!

Eerst dacht ik nog, het is een foutje, ik installeer de app opnieuw op de ipad, echter blijft de optie routeplanner ontbreken op de ipad. Zonde, zo zijn er nog wel meer functionaliteiten die ontbreken in de ipad variant…
