Searching finds a place in maps but will then launch you off to somewhere unrelated if you select it. You can't search the local area shown on the map for places of interest. You need to be running a separate map to find where to go then plug it in and that seems rather pointless. Seems to get worse the more I use it, compete disconnect from the map view to adding points of interests and things to do.

Decided to subscribe with hopes the app would update me on my gate location and any changes to flight times. Though I did get some flight time changes these were often slow to come through, and gates information just never showed. 

For organising of your travel information though I did find the app useful and enjoyed this aspect.

Cancelled during a free trial. I was expecting an AI experience where I put in cities of interest and the app suggested travel /sights as options. Nope. Just a glorified calendar with ability to import all the research I do myself, elsewhere. Not good value. I can store my own research quite well and use ChatGPT for suggestions, all free.

Tried countless other apps to manage my holiday but I went with Tripsy due to the ability to add emails and their associated attachments directly to each activity in the timeline. This makes it easy to dive into those pesky reservations that have more information you require when you need them (i.e QR codes on PDF)

I tried the app for the first time and I liked it so I decided to pay the premium month, I planned my entire trip in the app in advance and the moment I started my trip I realized that everything had been deleted, the activities had disappeared, thanks to I had no plans for this and I forgot how I had executed it, I felt like I wasted my money and my time with this App.

I love using Tripsy. I’ve even gone ahead and added trips that pre-date the app in anticipation of some kind of stat and analytics feature in the future. I would just love to see an easy way to track all of my destinations (countries, airports, miles etc.) along with the ability to create/suggest a packing list. Right now, I’m juggling a number of apps when travelling including Tripsy, Flighty and App in The Air. 

Love the overall design and I was even surprised by how often I find myself launching the Mac port. I also love that you’re part of the Setapp family!

An amazing app with a beautiful interface. 

Would love to see:
The ability to add custom activities with changeable icons and colours. 
To be able to add a header image or even multiple images to an activity. 
To change the main trip view to a more simpler list view (I find the current ‘grid’ layout can get a bit cluttered especially when you have several different activities). 

So far a great experience! Can’t wait to see what is added next!

### ****- "Such a great app, but just shy of amazing"
Tripsy is such a beautiful app, and the way it puts together the list and map views are great. So much better than any other travel planning app I’ve used in the past. I’ve recently completed a weekend road trip and used Tripsy to plan and organise and test the app.

Overall the experience was fantastic and I would definitely use it again. However, a few small things get in the way of it being a must have and potentially justifying its subscription price annually.

It seems email confirmation recognition works on a template basis from known services. This means that it cannot parse emails from non-standard or bespoke booking confirmations - of my weekend trip this means that only 4 of the 10 bookings I made could be added automatically.

It’d be nice to be able to differentiate between things like Restaurants and Cafes or Specialty Food Shops. Like, knowing we’re planning on getting a coffee is a different use-case in my mind to having a reservation at a restaurant. For example, if a friend gives me a recommendation for a great coffee shop or a cafe that does amazing cookies, it would be good to be able to see that separated from a restaurant reservation - especially because you don’t plan a time to go but its a key thing to fit into an agenda for your trip.
Would be great to see if it could recommend locations to the System in the same way that calendar events can. So when you get into the car and you see CarPlay recommendations it could be the next place you’re planning on going - the existing feature to share with your calendar doesn’t seem to allow you to tap the address to get to your location in the Maps app in the car.

Also - it would be cool to see a checklist for what to pack - particularly if it could recommend things based on what you’re doing (e.g ‘Don’t forget to pack bathers because you’re going to a pool’)

Finally, I am always happy to pay for quality apps, but I feel like the pricing structure doesn’t work too well for someone who only takes a few short trips a year. Rather than paying Monthly having an option to pay a small fee to just plan a single trip rather than subscribe for a full year - when the amount of trips don’t justify it.

Overall, despite these feedback points, I’d highly recommend the app over anything else I’ve tried and will continue to use it for future trips.

### ***-- "Well designed, but poor timezone handling and occasional crashes"
The UI is very pretty, but doesn’t seem to work particularly well for fairly straightforward itineraries.

Long haul flights across timezones get sorted incorrectly compared to other events on the same date; the app sometimes crashes when tapping import notifications; I’ve experienced several UI freezes (had to kill and reopen) while trying to edit events, etc.

I’d be happy if everything worked as advertised, but that doesn’t seem to be the case :(
