Buy your tickets – as easy as 1-2-3.
Troms' mobile app lets you buy your ticket before you get on board. The app is valid on buses, express boats, ferries provided by Troms fylkestrafikk.
Troms Billett requests access permission to the following functions:
* Location
Used in connection with ticket purchases so that Troms Billett can automatically suggest a ticket based on the zone in which you are located. You can still purchase a ticket even if the location function is turned off, but you must manually enter the stop or station from which the ticket will apply.
* Contacts
Used when sending tickets to phone numbers stored in your contacts.
* Notifications
Used to send notifications when tickets and payment cards expire. You can still purchase a ticket even if the notification function is turned off.
* Background App Refresh
Used at night when updating your control code and today's picture so that next day you always have the valid code and picture ready for a ticket inspection. You can still purchase a ticket even if the background update function is turned off.
* Mobile Data
Used when communicating with Troms' systems during ticket purchases. If the app's access to mobile data is blocked, you can only buy a ticket if you have access to a wireless network (Wi-Fi). You must also have network access in order to display the control code and today's picture during a ticket inspection.
If you want to block access, you can do so from your phone on Troms Billett's "Settings" page.
I’m in agreement with millee…
Maybe there’s been a huge overhaul since the bad reviews were written, but it was very easy to set up and buy tickets each day.
The only slight confusion for me was knowing which stop to enter as a destination, but I just asked the guy at the bus stop and it was all done. 90 mins of travel for me and 2 kids for 88 NOK.
Looks ok
I have read the negative reviews from people who can’t retrieve their tickets due to not getting a pass code. Within a couple of minutes of downloading I’d looked through the app and it’s settings to see how it worked. It clearly tells you there you need to set up a password if you want to retrieve tickets, there’s also the option to enter your email address if you want payment receipts. It seems people don’t look properly and then blame the app for their own failings.
We need a Zero star rating too
If anyone has to be given a zero star it is this app - well maybe minus infinity. Last stage times out says password incorrect when it has not even asked to set one :)) shows the algorithm is flawed !!!
The payment journey is a joke
So they ask you to pay for tickets, then you can’t download them because there’s a mysterious retrieval code you need to put in. They never ask about your email or phone number, how do you receive this mysterious code to download the tickets??? Same as the others, paid and no tickets received.
Doesn’t work
Payment times out. Customer Service weren’t able to help. Had to go to paper ticket machine! Hopeless. Very disappointed.

Doesn’t work, error pops after payment
The payment went but the ticket doesn’t come. Tried 3 times the money disappears but the ticket doesn’t appear
Håpløs
Fungerer ikke etter formål. Håpløs å finne en reise når man ikke er lokal kjent. Ingen kart knyttet til appen heller. På tide med noe nytt.
Elendig bruketstøtte
Forsøker å lagre mitt finske mobilnummer i appen, men det lagres som +47358(finsk nummer). Forsøker å endre det, men da henger hele greia. Ved rapport til brukerstøtte får jeg intetsigende svar, og ingen kvittering om rapport til apputvikleren. Slapt.
Dårlig system
Hele systemet inne på appen er treigt, fra det sekundet jeg kjøper og bekrefter billetten min, så går det går det flere minutter før kjøpet er gjennomført og billetten er aktivert. Begynner å lure på om billetten da egentlig er kjøpt, noe som har forårsakt at jeg har kjøpt to billetter siden den første aldri kom til syne…
