Try Dry® is the official app of the Dry January® challenge, which was created and is run by the charity Alcohol Change UK. Co-created with drinkers and based on behavioural science and a spirit of experimenting (hence the name), Try Dry® contains unique features such as 'planned drinking', custom goals, and special missions. Unlike 'sobriety-only apps', it works brilliantly whether you want to cut back or try being sober. Whether you’re taking on the Dry January® challenge, doing Sober Spring, trying a sober October, making a longer-term change to your drinking, or just cutting back, the Try Dry® app is your trusted year-round support system. Why should I download Try Dry®? • Track your units, calories and money saved • Set goals that work for you • Loads of great badges to achieve with in-app celebrations • Access our exclusive free coaching email programme • See your progress using the charts • Daily motivation - receive a reminder every day, at a time that suits you • Use the drinking risk quiz to see how you are doing • Led by science, developed for you. Try Dry® combines behavioural science with a highly responsive approach to feedback from users. • Totally free. No upfront costs. No hidden costs. No ads. Entirely funded by the charity Alcohol Change UK. Why cut down your drinking? • Better sleep. More energy. Glowing skin (yes, really). • More money in your pocket (the average UK adult spends £50,000 on booze in their lifetime!) • Get healthier - cutting back on the booze lowers your risks of over 60 serious medical conditions including heart disease, stroke, and 7 cancers • Take control – if alcohol has become a habit, break free and take full control • Be more present, enjoy life more, and really be there for your family and friends. ## TRY DRY Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/c0/02/9e/c0029efe-ede0-9267-5cec-1e86dfee5016/Dashboard_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/a3/bf/a1/a3bfa15e-4ee2-73a5-a839-5dc1b301ec0d/Daily_summary_without_wellbeing_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/8f/9b/a7/8f9ba70a-1667-1acd-41b6-e567b662415f/Add_drink_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d7/b1/f1/d7b1f12c-660b-24ff-3760-56536fc47e39/31_Days_Try_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/39/ea/78/39ea783a-d5c7-c878-4d1b-76faa973e193/Missions_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/d8/68/78/d8687827-141b-7444-5efb-ecb383acf1ba/Did_you_stay_dry_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/57/65/e1/5765e19a-5fe0-ab24-1a90-5a01e376e201/Insights_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/56/6c/c4/566cc45b-2028-d846-f9dd-f8be2dccc1af/Notes_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 9](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/8f/9f/10/8f9f10ab-5c96-50b8-9ccf-17938d7911d1/Mood_screeniOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 10](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/6d/2e/84/6d2e8405-23a2-8e8c-a578-4d7f9d94371b/Money_bags_iOS__U00281_U0029.jpg/1284x2778.png) ## TRY DRY Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 5,128 (84%) - 4 stars: 532 (9%) - 3 stars: 175 (3%) - 2 stars: 85 (1%) - 1 stars: 159 (3%) ## TRY DRY Reviews in United Kingdom ### ***-- "Stopped working" This app is fantastic however over the past 3 days it has stopped working and I’m no longer able to track my progress after 462 days. Is there a fix? -- Geordie_shaun, 2025-06-25 ### *---- "Doesn’t work" Day 2 and when I try to make a diary update it won’t let me and says something went wrong -- crsgrn78, 2025-06-25 ### ***-- "App not working" Had a 177 day streak and all going well but then app suddenly stopped working. I couldn’t update each day. Tried logging out and it won’t let me back in now. Just says “It looks like somethings wrong. Please try again” Disappointing and was impressed by the resources available via the app and its easy interface. -- LarkAscending92, 2025-06-25 ### ***** "It works…" Started using this for dry Jan, have just kept going. Yes, I still have a drink but the app has helped me cut from 15-20 units a week to 4 or 5. I don’t crave a drink, it’s helped me curb a habit and I feel better for it. Over a 100 drink free days in 2025. -- ahead9, 2025-05-24 ### *---- "All information lost" I was enjoying using this app for Sober Spring but it just wiped all my data -- engevita, 2025-04-16 ### *---- "Freezing" Try as I might delete reload etc this app is either ridiculously slow or is freezing/non functional! -- Razza16, 2025-03-22 ### *---- "Not working" The app stops working every other day and every time I need to delete it and then reinstall… I am giving up… -- Chishach, 2025-03-18 ### *---- "Disappointed" January 2025 was my first go at dry January and thought I would use an app to help. However, I failed to see what the hype is for this app as I didn’t find it at all motivating. Sorry about that, just my opinion. As for dry January, I got through it much easier than I thought. Hope everyone else did too. -- G whizz from Ascot., 2025-02-04 ### ***** "Keeps you motivated!" I like this app as it gives you the motivation to take each day as another little step to succeed. I have five days left of this Dry January challenge and I have noticed the improvement in my health, better quality of sleep and no more of them nasty hangovers that get worse as you age! A great app, and it’s free! I highly recommend, all the best on your journey to a better you and quality of life… as we only have one crack at it 👍 -- Spice Man 2015, 2025-01-26 ### *---- "Unstable app" Within three days the app reset itself and wiped all my data and entries. Super annoying. -- Jumcq789, 2025-01-26 [View all TRY DRY reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## TRY DRY Discovered Keywords -
