Be careful of your money! I wanted to file my taxes and they said everything looks good, so I paid, and only after they charged my credit card did my taxes get rejected. I was on the phone for hours going from one live agent to accountant from turbo tax and they were trying to see why was my taxes rejected, they were not able to help me. When I asked for a refund since my taxes were rejected and not filed , I only got back a portion, the rest I was denied.
I ended up going to an actual accountant who was much cheaper and was able to see right away what the issue was!

After filing my taxes with Turbo Tax, I have not received a refund within 3 months. After trying to contact for support multiple times, I can never get past their AI service. When checking the status of my refund, I keep getting an error on the IRS site. I was finally able to get a phone number for assistance from the AI service, when I called it, IT WAS ANOTHER AI. That AI told me my taxes and had not been filed, even though the app and confirmation emails from turbo tax had said they’d been filed. Still, I have not gotten any help on this at all.

After Spending 1 hour and 10 minutes on the phone trying to figure out how to enter Dividends for Direct Federal earnings so I could get the tax break on my State taxes,I finally got the customer service rep to agree to call me between 1:30 and 2:30 the following day once they had time to speak with someone who has more knowledge on how their system works. They never called in that time slot ,then called two days later, but still had no answer. Told them I had figured it out myself and then they just kept saying how happy they were it all worked out for me, and asked could I rate them well for helping them out. When I asked them did they want to learn how you do it they said "No". When they told me they were going to send a survey on them,I told them they would get a bad rating since they never called me in the agreed time slot. So guess what, they didn't send the survey. This is the third different support person I spoke with this year, they all have little working knowledge of their system, barely understand basic differences between federal and state taxes at a high level and seam more inclined to keep you on the line for extended periods of time, than answering your questions. They must get paid by minutes on the phone with a satisfactory rating. Needless to say will be trying a different system next year..........   Then just got a email response,April 30 with a link that was suppose to be how to resolve my issue, and guess what? It was not. Once again appears to me to just lip service so they can check a box on their customer service metrics they measure. For sure will be looking at alternatives next year.

I’ve used turbo tax for 5 years. Last year they helped me so much. They went out of their way to explain things and took really good care of me. However this year I was charged for a direct deposit and was sent a check, when I called and asked why they told me they charge even if it doesn’t go through. Plus a price increase. Don’t recommend. Will be switching.

Can you just go back to the 2023 version of the app? I have used TurboTax online for years. The last couple of years I’ve used the app on my iPad and it worked great. This year it will not accept payment and will not finish my taxes. It keeps looping back to payment and so I completed again and still won’t take it.

The app is limited and if you want any further assistance it’ll cost you. I’ve tried live help many times and it disconnects. I’d recommend going to an actual person. Also, frustratingly if they can’t fix it, they point you to contact the IRS yourself. I tried requesting a refund due to all the difficulties but of course was rejected. Just go to a live tax person and save yourself some time.

After every single step, they ask to upgrade the service. I turned it down over and over. Then got to the end and had to pay for a step up. But somehow paid for top tier service when I didn’t want it, nor did I use it. I just wanted the same thing I used the past 10+ years. I reached out to be refunded, and told me, thy don’t refund money after payment is accepted. Sent a refund request the same day, didn’t hear back from customer support in the “5-7 business days” they quoted. Had to call and fill out another request. For them to tell me it was too late to receive a refund. Never using turbo tax again
