Tutor did not turn up for a lesson and my daughter waited 40 minutes for her to arrive, yet the lesson is still marked and ‘completed’. 

I have sent messages to the tutor but have had no response. 

This is either a technical issue with Tutorful, or the turor forgot and did not log in. Either way I should not be charged, yet from what I can see, my card will be charged anyway. 

If that happens I will be contacting my bank and charging it back. Not ideal but there appears to be no live support and no way to say a lesson has not taken place. 

Very poor. Not impressed at all.

I am extremely disappointed with this app. The system is confusing and disorganized, and they randomly charge parents without any transparency. Even when classes are not conducted, they still take payments. Teachers cancel lessons, and yet parents are still charged without any proper verification of the actual situation. The app processes payments before confirming anything, which is unacceptable. On top of that, their response to emails is incredibly slow. Overall, this app feels unprofessional and unreliable

Have had a good experience with the tutors I’ve found via the platform - but the app itself is buggy and hard to use. 

Once you’ve found a tutor, the “request lesson” journey ends in “route” error every time - and there is no easy path to book the next lesson from the tutor screen.

### **--- "Technical Fault/Not compatible with new softwares(?)"
My review isn’t about working on here but the actual app. Sometimes the notifications from messages don’t come through for both Tutors & Students on the mobile version as Students have informed me. The website doesn’t let you see the same things as you would on the app and the app has now resulted to crashing every time I click to open the app and won’t let me see anything - I have contacted Tutorful via email as there is no phone team to contact, which there may have been couple years back as written in previous reviews. The crashing happened maybe after I updated my iPhone to the latest software update, so maybe the app in general is not compatible with the new iOS updates after iOS 16 as it was running fine until this week.

This should be a simple and effective app. However, I feel that it hasn’t been properly designed. There is little usability design or testing in evidence.
For that reason alive I’d give it 3 stars.
However, I’ve given it one star to reflect the company itself. I’ve been a tutor with Tutorful for nearly seven years and in that time they have charged me over £25,000. Nearly £300 per month!
Their service is not worth £300 per month. I would generously rate their value at £15 per month.
They claim to cover student non payments. This is not true, I am still owed several missed payments amounting to several hundred pounds. 

Overall a poor app, a poor service and an incompetent company. There are much better alternatives: simply spending £300 advertising locally will be more beneficial.

The app is really nice an easy to use, However, I would love to see you guys add an option to save our favourite Tutor and be able to find them easily. Furthermore, it would make it even easier to add a 1 to 1 video lesson directly through the app, instead of going to zoom or Skype or teams.

The app was designed well and it does what it needs to do. But it’s very annoying to use as a tutor when your scores get lowered with one-off bookings. The tutor scores on the app need to be changed, as it does not reflect the tutor.

This may or may not work but it is far from intuitive. Items seem to be in random locations or simply not there. For example I have yet to find a way to update the list of subjects I offer and the charges for them. I’m sure it is there somewhere but it’s certainly nowhere intuitive.

But the biggest offence is that it ignores the settings entered. I have apparently set up a distance limit for tutoring but still get enquiries from far further afield than would ever be practical. This seriously needs some user testing because it looks like it was only ever tested by the people who knew where they had hidden the categories - the fact that

It’s great that you can use this app to communicate with your tutor/ potential tutor. But it seems that the notifications for their messages never work, even if it’s switched on in settings. Making checking messages constantly quite inconvenient.

However, I do appreciate that you can view your upcoming lessons so that it’s easy to see.

Please fix the notification problem! 🧚🏽‍♀️
