Even then, it did not alert me sugars were low until I happened to refresh the screen, which complete defeats the points of notifications if they don’t actually notify. You cannot set a specific unique sound for the app on iPhone, so it gets mixed with other notification sounds unless you’ve specifically shut off all other sounds (via focus, sleep, or do not disturb). It does not have a call setting so that you can get a call for an overnight low, and it does not integrate well with apps that do offer that. You cannot set a specific range that you would like to be notified at (I.e. we prefer notifications for 85 blood glucose, not 70, so we have more time to respond). Widget does not reliably live update at all, on home screen or on watch. -- Jchevriette, 2026-09-01 ### **--- "Unreliable" Updates/notifications are spotty at best. Currently my app hasn’t updated my wife’s data in a day … not much value there! -- WilliekSC, 2026-08-28 ### ***-- "Needs improvement" My son has had the Twiist for less than 24 hours, and I think it’s a good switch, but the Insiight app definitely needs work. First, we **NEED** options for high/low notification sounds that we can choose from. I don’t even know what alarm to listen for yet! He had a low last night and I can’t tell you if I even got an alarm for it. Second, the widget needs to show current BG, not insulin. I need at a glance BG on my homescreen. Last, DARK mode option please! Basically, look at the bells and whistles on the Follow app, and repeat. She’s was using a Tslim tandem for a long time but recently moved to the Twiist. It’s was tough to adjust at first but now she really likes it. My big critique here is the alert sound on this app sucks, bad it doesn’t alert me enough or frankly loud/ obnoxious enough when she’s having a bad low or a high. I get one notification, what if I’m sleeping? That won’t wake me up especially since it isn’t a loud one and is just a phone baked in alert sound. After coming from the Dexcom companion app, this is a really tough change. It used to scream at me so if she had a low while she was sleeping I was waking up but now they are so much easier to sleep through and it’s scary. I travel a lot so I don’t always get to sleep next to her and that felt like a safety net to the both of us, this feels like a lot less of one. Thanks! Since we use the Twiist Pump (which is amazing!) we need to get low glucose alerts specifically at night when our child doesn’t wake up to the alert from her pump. The app should work on android and apple, have alert options, and be able to log in to see real time data. Especially frustrating when using the app with CarPlay because I either pull over to login again or just give up on seeing BG levels of my family member.
