TwistedWave is a very fast and easy to use audio editor and recorder.

Even when working with huge files, it will remain very fast and fluid, and will never run out of memory.

UNIQUE TO TWISTEDWAVE

• Unlimited undo / redo history, happens instantly

RECORD AUDIO
• No duration limit other than the available storage
• Up to 24 bit / 96 kHz audio if your audio interface supports it
• Record stereo audio with the built-in microphone (iPhone XS or more recent)
• Record studio quality audio with an external microphone
• Record audio from other music applications with Audiobus

APPLY EFFECTS
• Precision Time Stretching & Pitch Shifting technology licensed from ZTX
• All the AudioUnit extensions (AUv3) available on the App Store can be used with TwistedWave
• Cut, copy / paste audio around
• Fade in / out
• Reverb
• Delay / echo
• Distortion
• Equalizer (parametric, or iPod EQ)
• Dynamics processor, can be used as a compressor or a noise gate

Good luck struggling with this app for hours trying to make it fix on a loop point or a simple task like moving the cursor. It’s horrible. Hours wasted while you set careful markers which seem to do nothing while your crops are lost because you touched the screen. On the other hand trying to get the selection points to engage means tens of double clicks while you beg the app to give you a left and right marker. Avoid at all costs. Whoever made this is a sadist. Terrible waste of money.

Just two things would make it near perfect...

1. Needs Crossfade control like Logic X

2. The look whole look needs a bit of a revamp especially the dated graphics on the control bar.

### ***** "Outstanding Audio Editor"
This is a fantastic audio editor that does everything I could want and even matches or beats the best desktop editors I have ever used. I record a lot of audio on my iPad and iPhone and for a long time have been transferring the recordings to my Mac then editing them there with Fission, which is itself outstanding. Thinking that there must by now be some good audio editors on iOS, I did some research which led me to this product.

I have to say that it has blown me away. It is every bit as good as Fission, perhaps even better. It is easy to edit with great precision and if anything is quicker and more intuitive than any other editor I have tried. I love the markers and the way it's possible to 'snap' selections easily and accurately to the markers. 

There is some clever stuff going on when a chunk of audio has been removed because the transition is always as smooth as if the removed audio had never been there in the first place. Add to that the ability to export selections or an entire track in almost any format and it is a very impressive app in every possible way. I can't recommend it highly enough. It sets a new benchmark for me.

I've used audacity. Adobe audition. Cool edit pro. Garage band. Etc 
I must say for simplicity and overall lay out it's absolutely perfect!! 
It's the best wave editor I have used. It's not technical it makes wave editing easy. I will also say I love how you have a iPhone and iPad version for such a little cost it's great now my editing can go from Mac to mobile so easily it's fantastic thank you 👍 you've done great

This is absolutely the best available audio editor for iPad. Perhaps even better than your typical desktop editor, due to the wonderful touchscreen implementation. Kinda reminds me of Cool Edit Pro from the old days.

### ***** "Good quality editor for simple snips"
I use this app regularly for topping and tailing audio, and setting levels. It's excellent for this. There are some other basic editing features it also does well (cut, paste etc). 

You can export as wav or MP3 (there are other formats too). I export to Dropbox to pick up the audio on my PC. I think this app is excellent. 

File sharing via iTunes is also another excellent feature. Dead easy!

### ***** "Fantastic functional app"
I was looking for a simple iPad base equivalent to the mac application Audacity; for my usage, it has not let me down so far.  I wanted to merge together various tunes from my iPod library and cut/paste and tweak.  This has all of handy tools to do this and many more functions I've yet to discover. 

It's also a very simple app to use with a great zoom feature useable whilst playing to allow viewing of the exact spot where you need to clip or work on more closely.

Added to the fact that the developer is responsive and helpful, it's definitely worth 5 stars and although on the slightly pricier side compared to most apps, it's worth it.

I searched long and hard to find an editor for working with audio interviews. Others I looked at (or bought, *ouch*) came with file-length limits or were hamstrung file-wise: no Dropbox support, no "Open in…" This has it all—like an Audacity or Fission for the iPad!
