I really enjoy Quick Match mode because it adds more challenge than just a CPU. If I were to add one thing, it would be to have the missions unlock things like free skins or bonus intel that can be put into a match at the start, and the harder the mission, the bigger the reward. I have completed most of the missions, and I think it would be more worth it if there were some kind of reward. You can have a player trapped and city is in “countdown” before being removed from play. Time seems VERY quick say, for me, but opposing player may get 2 full turns when city in “countdown.” It’s inconsistent. Sometimes it’s fast, sometimes it’s slow. But, i’ve noted it working against me consistently. I don’t know if it’s b/c I’m high or lower ranked and it’s seeking to balance the odds or default to letting higher rank stay that way. But, it’s uncool regardless Love the game generally. Don’t like when inconsistencies appear. ** update June 2025: the city-closing countdown is skewed unfairly causing me to lose several matches I couldn’t have lost. Seems worse since latest update. I’ve played a few games and it’s been the same each time. Pretty annoying. It’s causing me to lose interest in playing because it’s unfair. And this is one of my favorite games. If you’re going to say the clock adjusted negatively for me due to skill level, I’ve perpetually lost games I should have won based on cities controlled and position. I’m aware of all the tactics and have made it to “00” briefly. It needs to be more balanced. It’s very easy to understand even though some things aren’t really explained, but you an easily figure it out. My only suggestion would be to add another game mode to have more than 2 people in one match.
