Start with a few words, but make them big. As big as your screen will allow, and make them command attention, with color and type and motion effects. Then expand your range. Put your words on your photographs. Take a picture. Type across it. Drag the words where they belong, size them, color them for attention or fade them for silent presence. Save it, or send it. Speed is the key. Had a funny thought? It doesn’t have to become a project. Have a message that needs more context? Put it in a photograph. Words and pictures belong together. • Type, or dictate — speak and it appears, punctuation and all • A broad selection of typefaces, from newspaper-bold to handwritten • Set the color of the words and of the background, from ready-made palettes or your own mixes • Drag the words anywhere; size them to fit • Fade them into the photograph, or let them sit hard on top • Turn it sideways or animate it for a longer message • Save the looks you like and get them back with one tap • Everything you've shown is kept in a History Log for easy re-use Say it in another language Translate your message on the device itself. No connection needed, nothing sent anywhere. Type in English, tap a button, and your sign is in Spanish. Or Arabic. 20 languages total. For emergencies One built-in style is made for the worst moment: high-contrast, hard to misread, and strobing, with the time and your map coordinates burned across the bottom. Coordinates are precise and don’t need a signal. The teleprompter Paste in a speech and Typix rolls it up the screen at a readable pace. Advance the screen with a small thumb swipe so you can read at your own rhythm. Roll and Scroll can both be saved as a movie. Learn it by doing it Interactive tutorials run inside the app. A caption tells you what to do, a glow shows you where, and it moves on when you've done it. Nothing to watch, no connection required. Recording a how-to? Turn on Show Where You Tap, in Help, and every tap you make appears in bright yellow-green on screen. Perfect for a how-to screen recording for a colleague who needs to make a sign. A note on flashing Some effects — Strobe, Blink and Flash — make the screen change quickly, and the Emergency sign uses one by design. Every one of them is limited to five flashes a second or slower. If flashing light is a problem for you or for someone you're showing a sign to, leave those effects off; everything else in Typix works exactly the same without them. TYPIX PRO Everything is free for your first week. After that these stay free, for good: typing, every typeface, all the colors, sizing and positioning, Show, your saved styles, your history, translation, and the Emergency sign.
