You already take our ID, driver’s license, phone number, and money. And still, you force us to take a photo, provide two contacts — and then actually call them? On a weekend? Of course no one picks up. We’re standing by the car, with real documents, GPS proves we’re on location, and there’s a live employee on-site. But none of that is enough? We wasted 40 minutes trying to find someone who’d pick up just so you’d “verify” us — after all the proof we’d already given. No other rental company does this. However, none of this is possible, it is only an illusion, because your reservation is pending (without telling you) until an agent has confirmed by calling you, and 100% of the time they give you a different location, a different time and tell you that the truck is not available... it is really useless. The objective is to put you in a situation where you are in a hurry (because they call you 24 hours before) to accept their bad management and still go and pick up your truck at the side of the city, making you do a huge mileage and therefore pay more, it is scandalous...useless booking. Got a call from one of your service representatives and got told that my truck rental was going to be only possible at 2:30pm and that my pickup was going to be in valleyfield. Disappointed in the company because if vehicles aren’t available, than they shouldn’t be available to rent on the website. Despite entering the postal code it still gives me locations on the other side of the city. And it won’t let me just search what is available at the nearest locations. The app isn’t terrible, but being forced to download and app while standing in the office, instead of talking the the waiting human in front of me (who has access to all of the same steps) was frustrating. Took longer than any other time I’ve rented a truck, even after I downloaded the app. A new surprise step on every page. The number of photos you have to take of every side of the truck, before and after…hope for nice weather for the added time you’ll need. Wish yourself a great day for your personal customer service and ask if you’ll get invited to the staff party for the doing everything outside of the keys. If you’re moving big stuff, you already have a lot on your mind; this added stressor through the inflexibility of the process isn’t a highlight to a day. All this said, I do feel for the actual employees who have undoubtedly heard this type of feedback a lot and when there were interactions, they knew their content. The rep changed the pick up date and changed the return by reducing the rental by 39 hours.
