App as bad as the lock
The lock is useless junk and the app is just as flaky. The notifications work better as marketing spam than for security.
Ad notifications, bad setup
I’ve had a utec smart deadbolt for about five or six years and overall it is OK. We purchased a unit with a WiFi hub which we have never been able to get to work, meaning that we’re effectively unable to give temporary permissions for petsitters or family to enter the house when we are not there. But the reason I am writing this review is that it just pushed a Mother’s Day promotion notification, which is not an acceptable use of push notifications. 2 stars because the lock itself works.

I can never use the remote options because the bridge is constantly disconnected. Piece of junk.

Hot piece of garbage
The ubolt pro WiFi lock is a hot piece of garbage. It will randomly stop working. I just put new batteries in it and now it won’t connect to the app. Their support page is unusable and their customer service is terrible. They never understand what I am asking. The lock always has issues connecting to the WiFi despite my other devices that use 2.4 GHz WiFi working just fine. Would literally never recommend these physical products or this app to anyone. Save your money and get a different product.
