Beware of this app and company

The app is ok, why is the pause button gone?

pbass6811 on

United States

It seems as though, if you drive an EV, the pause button has been replaced by a charging icon, which EV drivers probably don’t need, especially if they drive a Tesla. The car already tells us where all the chargers are. This was a poor decision that should be rectified. The rest of the app is ok.

Very Horrible don’t sign up to get taken advantage of

JonathanMcGreg on

They take 70% of the trip so if the trip pops up and say 10.00 expect 3$ and change. That’s horrible it shows how stupid they feel a driver is it’s very disrespectful and for that reason me and my household will not use or partake in any of Uber services anymore. App has been deleted it was honestly horrible thanks

Wow

This app is literally the worst for people on bikes. If you can’t support bikers don’t make it an option. Give me big orders and far drop offs. And then when I cancel an order because the preview is usually inaccurate to how long it will actually take for a person on a bike I get hit with a warning for “fraud”? Not only does your app absolutely blow chunks but you accuse me of fraud? Why would I go through the tedious process of signing up for this app to just steal food?? And the payout is the worst. You want me to go 5 miles on a bike and then 3 miles more with a huge order for 2.50? Ridiculous. Don’t expect my help in profiting this app. I waited until I was 18 to deliver and trust me this was not worth it. Worst birthday gift ever!!!

Cheap price in Los Angeles.

Company will Falsely accuse you of Fraud with zero chance to defend yourself

cobhcforlife on

If you want to get falsely accused of fraud (for a mixup the company themselves made mind you) then by all means sign up for Uber. The only reason I still use Uber at all are in situations where it’s either order an Uber or get left stranded. I was a former Uber eats driver way back when and attempted to reapply within the last year. For some reason, the app appeared to confuse me with my father, who not only has the same first and last name as me, but also uses Uber. Can you guess what happens next? They flag it as fraud, give you no explanation, and no chance of appeal. At this point, I honestly don’t care about the deactivation as I have no desire to work for the company anyways, ESPECIALLY not after this incident. Fraud accusations are very serious, especially when there is no real proof of such. It’s not my fault the background check department is incompetent or that the company mixed my father and I’s accounts. Driver support is utterly useless as well. I explain to them many times that it’s no longer about wanting the account back, because I don’t. Leave the thing closed and sealed. Rather, I explain that I have a huge problem with being accused of fraud as this can cause reputational harm. Of course, they respond by just saying that “they understand that I am requesting for my account to be reinstated” despite me making myself very clear that I DO NOT WANT IT BACK and that “fraud is not tolerated on Uber”. Sincerely, I could care less about what Uber tolerates or not because guess what? I don’t tolerate slander and take my reputation very seriously. I have been working diligently to prepare a legal case as I will not have such a heinous accusation on my background and potentially ruin all I have worked for.

No Longer Usable

In my area we have a Walmart that is absolutely horrible, however since nobody (including myself) wants those orders we are offered now only Walmart orders. My acceptance rate went from 45% to 8% from Walmart alone. This app is no longer usable.

Don’t expect immediately money.

JDH320 on

Mini hoops to jump through to get all of your documents approved. Customer is contains the amount they tip making the entire order jump down to the base pay, which they don’t tell you when you were excepting the ride they include the expected tip that’s not guaranteed. There’s money to be made but it’s slow money. Be careful.
