App update has induced premature obsolescence
Has worked perfectly for in excess of 12 months, now it is outside warranty the infrared has blown, reason: software update, as it now stays on all the time when triggered, only other option is flood light mode (when it triggers), all designed to destroy battery/ burn out infra-red globe. So software update has effectively destroyed night time ability, and if reverting to floodlight mode( no other option, now) will kill the battery due to deep cycling to meet needs of flood light trigger (day and night…..) 12 month lifespan for $219 AUD is unacceptable, future purchase will involve different brand.
