This app has been buggy for years but they refuse to fix the video playback issues. I have no problems with playing videos from YouTube, viaplay, Netflix etc but this app just refuse to play most of the time. I had several different iphones over time and different networks but this app is just won't work well.
In app where you search for courses to learn, you are not able to do this because of constant crashes.
Can you fix bigger subtext, sometimes I can't read the text from my iPad or my iPhone.
You want to buy course and you see it is 14.99 and then boom it is 84€....
Like the title says, platform is amazing BUT the app absolutely terrible on ipad pro. Takes about 1min after starting the app for it to become responsive, randomly exiting the course after a finished lesson, never remembering last lesson and so on. Exceptionally bad app..
+ Decent app. I like the concept of buying a course and keeping it for good. + A lot of content. Some very good presentations in the courses, but - there are some that are good on paper, but almost not understandable. + Prices are decent, especially if you wait until a discount- and they have them very often - Quality, hmmm…depends on the course subject and the author/presenter. Some are really good, while in other there are humongous courses that cover a lot of ground. Also and I’m sorry I have to say this but some of the presenters are barely understandable because of really bad English, on top of that they are in a hurry to cover all of the material in the course, so they just try to fly trough some very important stuff and keep repeating “we’ll cover that in a separate course. - In some of the courses (my opinion - seniority of the authors) job interviews is mentioned close to 1M times. It would be much more valuable if the show real world scenarios instead of formulating everything as they are in an interview session. They even give interview tips. - There is no Apple TV app. ( and no, having one page where I have to stream from my phone or tablet is not an app) All in all it’s a decent platform. it has it’s good moments and some bad. I’ve tried most of knowledge platforms so far and I have cancelled all other subscription based services for Udemy. As I said mainly because of the purchasing model.
Great app, but the random switching between “regular” pricing and discounted pricing is just unbearable. I want to be able to purchase a service to a fair price whenever I want to, and not when Udemy decides that I can. The “regular” pricing is about 10x the real price and obviously no one pays that price.
Shows only white screen
Love the courses on udemy and being able to play the lessons on my iPad while following along on my laptop is great. Unfortunately the app only works half the time. It automatically cancels downloads, with no reason given, when I try to get offline lessons. When trying to play lessons I sometimes get errors saying "Sorry we can't load the lecture". Restarting app does not fix the problems.
