Good content but video downloading is still broken
Whenever I buy a course and ask to download it, the app shows that it’s downloading all videos in parallel. However, none of them is actually downloaded. The only workaround I found is cancelling all, removing the entire downloaded content and manually downloading the videos one by one. Absolutely crazy waste of time when there are 100+ videos in the course. This was going on for years and still hasn’t been fixed.
It’s really disappointing for an app that teaches a lot of software development courses. Please add an option to download the videos one by or make it your default behaviour.
Great content but the player is awful
First time I wrote a review and I’m just hoping developers will read it.
First the good, Udemy has a great spectrum of interesting courses with great authors so the content is there.
Now the (very) bad, the player is hot garbage and is, to me, the main feature of the app that should be invested on to be flawless.
The player constantly pauses, loses progress and I have to kill the app countless of time to be able to resume the course. Even by doing so, at least half of the time my progress on the video is lost and I have to slide through the timeline to hopefully get back to where I was. Sliding the timeline gives me PTSD as I always get the spinning wheel of death and the player is most of the time unable to start playing, and again I have to kill the app (rinse and repeat). This is killing the learning experience and my motivation takes a hit.
One last thing, downloading the courses doesn’t even prevent these issues.
Reading comments elsewhere tells me it’s not a “me” problem. Please, I beg the developers to fix this, you will be losing customers otherwise…
Can’t download videos and can’t feedback!

I purchased courses but I seem I can’t download videos. It is either stuck or stop during the download I give up I used both WiFi and mobile signal both - don’t work!
I tried to feedback to Udemy but I can’t find any feedback button or option and I tried to find in help section - nothing found!
Frustrating to watch videos on WiFi at all times as the mobile signal seems to be stuck as it require a lot of video memory to see clearly. So that means I can’t watch on buses or at the park or in city. That is why I need downloaded videos so I can watch whenever I want.
Slow to download for offline use
There are some excellent courses on Udemy and providing you use the discount codes they offer great value.
Overall I’m very positive about this product however it is let down by downloading issues. I have a fairly up to date iPhone, excellent internet connection at work and home but still I have to mess around for ages to download a course. I have the latest version of the app, I’ve cancelled download and re-downloaded, reinstalled the app etc etc so I’m fairly sure the issue doesn’t lie at my end

Lost all my previous purchases
I have been a user for over 5years recent tried to log in only to realise all my previous purchases have varnished from my account with exception of one Prince 2.
Not sure why but it is diappionting given I already paid for the courses.
Avoid: won’t refund
No wonder their stock price is down 60% since IPO….Very poor quality videos, unethical refund policy. Soon we will get all learning help we need from chatgpt anyways. Goodbye mediocre and dishonest learning apps. Goodbye Udemy.
Untrustworthy
If you want a refund as you cannot access the courses paid for and want to take your custom elsewhere, forget it; all they offer is credits to use - you guessed it - with them.
Will not log in
The App suddenly stopped logging in, I can still log in online but overnight the app. No longer accepts my details. I’ve better things to do than struggle with this waste of. Time.
Videos offline and current bug
So videos download will not be playable if you have no internet because Idemy needs you signed in. The current issue which is annoying is that you cannot watch videos offline or online on iPhone at certain times due to a bug. Which is very irritating.
