Purchase problems

I don’t like the system it works a little slow because I paid for the course and I was charged but it’s been a week but I still don’t have any access to the course.I’m still not enrolled despite I was charged.

No longer supporting my device

The Udemy app was mostly okay. Learning on an app is inefficient and clumsy anyway. So now that I can no longer update the app, I will just delete it. As of this review, they only support iOS version 17.2 and greater. Those of us who are using Xs and older are just left out.

It’s okay but needs fixing

It’s good for viewing courses on your iPad or iPhone but it’s buggy when downloading video. Also not compatible with older devices which is unfortunate because so many apps still maintain compatibility on older devices. Forced obsolescence is a bad way to go. Basically you’re streaming video, why make the newer apps incompatible? What has changed to deny service on the device which still performs well?

Login issues

I don’t receive an email with code the app says it’s going to send.

Bugs

For several weeks, the lecture list for the course I was taking are not displaying. You can only start in the first one and fast forward to the end in sequence to get to the lecture you want. The latest update did NOT fix this. I was enjoying the class, it was the first I had taken with Udemy. While I think it’s very valuable, I will not be purchasing any more classes until it seems like the bugs are under control. Display of the lectures seems like an obvious one for product managers to see and think “we should prioritize fixing this because it’s like, you know, the basic function of what this app does”

None of my classes are available in app

None of my classes appear in the app and I mean none of them. The app keeps adding a bunch of files to my phone and on those files is probably something that’s blanking out the entire app. UdemyDataModel (3mb). Track_first_start (zero kb). UdemyDataModel93 (33kb). UdemyDataModel93(553 kb).

No Dark Mode

Inconsistent company that has still not implemented dark mode for PC users, while it does for mobile users. When I tried to contact their customer service about it, they didn’t give me any valid reason for this odd behavior.

Lectures not showing

You can’t watch the lectures or even see how many there are.

Could be better

I’d give this 4 stars but am giving it 3 stars due to the fact is is not making ‘Closed Captioning’ a mandatory requirement for their instructors.
