UE | BOOM FAQ
Is UE | BOOM free?
Yes, UE | BOOM is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is UE | BOOM legit?
⚠️ The UE | BOOM app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I do like these speakers and have three… however I would like to see Ultimate Ears speakers all turn off fully and not just the main speaker.
If you could get this function working on all connected speakers that will be a great feature.
Otherwise it’s all good 🙂
Doesn’t connect to wonderboom
Why bother creating an app that won’t connect to the whole range of products? It just annoys consumers.
No update functionality
App support says to click the more button to see if updates are available but there is no button called more.
Not compatible with Spotify
Overall good app but needs to be compatible with Spotify.
Where is the ‘More’ button
You advertise how you’re constantly updating firmware for mega booms and I just need to click the ‘More’ button in the app to check for updates - there isn’t a ‘More’ button. Wtf???
It’s alright
The app is okay but it would be really good if you added Spotify to your compatible playlist platforms.
Party up works!
Bought a second speaker to use party up and it works. I have two UE megaboom3 speakers. You literally just add the speaker by dragging and dropping the speaker next to your one in the app. Not sure what these other reviews are about but I don’t think those people investigated it thoroughly enough.
One problem I have noticed though is that one of my speakers has mini cut outs every now and then when it’s in party up mode. If I use it solo it works fine. For this reason I give 4 stars instead of 5.
Can’t update firmware
I have the boom 3. The problem I’m having is that whenever I turn it on it defaults to max volume which, needless to say, is annoying. I got the app to update the firmware. UE’s help section says to tap on More to check for updates. I can’t find anything that says More. I tried the alternative of downloading the update utility to the Mac but it crashes every time I try to open it. Not sure what to do.
App is Garbage
This app doesn’t allow me to use the Party up feature at all! Used to work fine but now it’s absolutely useless. It no longer recognises my Boom 3 when I click onto party up but only recognises it separately. Both speakers have the latest firmware so goes to show how well Logitech/UE have fumbled on their products.
Fails to keep a steady connection
I love the ue boom speakers and have used them for years. But the Bluetooth party connection feature is very annoying. It does not keep a stable connection. Speakers sound like they’re reaching the limits of the Bluetooth connectivity, even though they’re right next to each other. Single connections are great. But the double up feature is very inconsistent and mostly leads to poor sound quality.
