## Undertone Description
Undertone is a voice journal that never leaves your phone.
Press record. Speak. Watch your words appear; transcribed entirely on your device by a Whisper AI model that lives inside the app. No internet connection, no account, no server, anywhere, ever sees what you said.

WHY OFFLINE MATTERS
Most "voice-to-text" apps quietly send your audio to a remote server for transcription. Even ones that claim to be private often route through Apple's Speech framework, which uses Apple's servers by default.
Undertone doesn't. The Whisper model is bundled inside the app at install time. Transcription happens on your phone's Neural Engine — the same chip that handles Face ID — and nothing is sent anywhere.

Turn on airplane mode. It still works.

WHAT YOU GET
• Press-to-record voice entries with a calm, focused interface
• On-device transcription powered by Whisper AI.
• Choose between Small, Medium, and Large models — trade speed for accuracy as you like
• Tag entries and search across your full archive, locally
• Replay any recording alongside its transcript with a precise waveform scrubber
• Append to existing entries when a thought continues a few hours later
• Backup and restore your entire journal as a single archive — your data, in your hands

PRIVACY, IN PLAIN TERMS
• No account required
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs
• No cloud storage; audio and transcripts live in your app's sandbox
• No microphone access outside active recording
• No data sold, shared, or seen by anyone but you
