This app lets you explore the world of Unicode glyphs.  The languages of the world contain some beautiful letter forms, and Unicode Character Viewer gives you an easy way to search for characters, mark your favourites, and share them with others.

Browse all the fonts in your iOS device, and every glyph supported by each of those fonts.

 * Search by glyph title.
 * View variations of a glyph in different fonts.
 * Mark glyphs as favorites for easy reference.
 * View all the variations of a glyph in all fonts that support it.
 * Add glyphs to a draft text editor for composing a string using any Unicode characters.

I bought this to be able to copy font glyphs into Cricut Design Space and Adobe Illustrator.  At first, I could not view my installed apps in the Unicode Character Viewer app at all and it seems that this has been a problem for a lot of people.  I ended up deleting the app but then reinstalled it to have another go.  I must have spent about 2 hours watching videos and searching online, turning computer on and off, etc and trying various random things.  However, all of a sudden my apps appeared and I have no idea how.  It seemed to be after I went into Cricut Design Space and started typing with one of my fonts.  I thought I had already done that multiple times and wouldn’t have thought this would have made any difference to the Unicode app.  Might it have kickstarted something in the iOS system?  Who knows?  All I know is I’m pleased it’s now working how I wanted it to!

I use this app to use with Procreate. Sharing the glyph then paste. 
By default it doesn't show what you've installed in Procreate. Users need to install fonts the system way. I use Ifont for that and install the profile.

It was working fine ever since I downloaded it and all of a sudden it loads up but doesn’t load up my fonts and just freezes. My iPad is up to date, it has more than enough space/storage, up to date iOS and I’ve even deleted the app, hard restarted my iPad re-installed the app and it’s still freezing. Please help.

### ***** "So glad I found this."
I've been looking for an app to fill the role Character Palette plays on OS X (or Character Map on Windows), without an overcomplicated UI. There's quite a lot of similar apps out there, but none of them except Unicode Character Viewer do it with a simple interface (already updated for iOS 7!), and allow you see the code point and Unicode name of the character.

In future versions, I'd like to see the ability to browse the named Unicode blocks more easily, and perhaps the ability to mark blocks as favourites, but as it is, it's already the best character picker app on the App Store.
