## Uniden Solo Description
The App Cam Solo is a full HD, weatherproof smart camera. Completely wire-free, the app cam is battery powered with advanced power-saving technology featuring up to 180 days standby time. With quick and easy installation, the camera can be placed anywhere inside or outside of the home.

Offering a 110-degree viewing angle, which provides a greater field of vision, the Guardian App Cam Solo can be fitted to any flat surface with an easy-to-install magnetic base. Also included is an optional screw base for those more easy-to-reach areas, such as the front door. Cameras can be twisted to an angle to suit any situation and easily moved around the home without the need to re-wire or place near a power source, providing complete flexibility when setting up viewing angles.

The App Cam Solo connects directly to the local Wi-Fi network and features motion detection recording directly to an SD card. Users can access the App Cam Solo with a Smartphone or tablet via the free to download Uniden Solo app, which also provides users remote access to the cameras to check-in from anywhere in the world. With optional app push notifications when motion or sound is detected, users can be reassured the home is safe while at work or on holiday.

Users can connect as many cameras as they wish in areas such as, the driveway, garage, front and back entrances and upstairs. The camera can even be used to check on pets or babies while in other areas of the house.

The camera features PIR motion sensor, which detects movement and will send notifications to the user via the app. Users have the ability to two-way talk in real time through the camera, for easy communication with visitors including couriers, while also acting as a deterrent to unwanted guests.

The flexible, innovative Uniden App Cam Solo camera provides peace of mind at home or while away.

The Uniden Solo app is compatible with Uniden range of Guardian App Cam Solo Range

## Uniden Solo Reviews in Australia

### *---- "Free tier will nag you"
Free "subscription" does not renew automatically. You have to renews it manually in the exact moment of expiry. It does not let you do it sooner, and keeps loosing footage after. This mechanic is part of a "shadow tactic" toolkit that should be illegal.
-- Mondomhogynincs, 2026-02-15

### *---- "Good when it works"
For the last year or more it hasn’t worked. I’ve tried help support from uniden but no follow up and more problems I’ve given up.
-- Hish987, 2025-11-15

### *---- "App hasn’t worked in months"
The app just shows me an error and a refresh button. The moment I hit the refresh button it takes me straight back to the refresh button doesn’t even try to load. Same thing happens with all the different features and pages.
-- 1970458428, 2025-11-06

### **--- "Cloud issues"
Good app if it wasn’t for the cloud constantly dropping out. Have to delete app, download again then add cameras back to have it work again. Has been happening for years. Big company like this should have sorted it a long time ago…
-- Change brands, 2025-10-31

### *---- "Rubbish"
The cloud on the app hasn’t worked for over two years. And now the website is requiring a two factor login just to view your footage. Really giving me no reason to chose Uniden again.
-- Articmonkeyfart, 2025-10-29

### **--- "Quality?"
Works okay just too many things that go wrong with it . it misses vital moments which could be crucial and the whole point of having a security camera
-- Matbenchy, 2025-04-28

### ***** "Good camera"
Works well
-- Steve 1234!, 2025-04-27

### *---- "Poor signal"
Poor signal
-- NajNajNajNaj, 2025-04-25

### ***-- "Picture quality"
Poor picture quality and viewing time is too short to truely capture items like number plates
-- Reggie 70, 2025-04-22

### *---- "Scam?"
Have seen camera switch itself off after switching it on. And the alarm now triggers just because you turn the camera on. Now Cloud saving is switching itself off too. No recordings this month. A complete waste of time. Am trying a reinstall of the App. and may update if anything changes. It seems that a third party may have much better access than me. NB all features of the App may not work if you try using the App with an active VPN. Turn off VPN before opening the App.
