I installed and validated this app, got an email saying I could use it straight away, went and bought 120l of diesel, but no barcode, so had to pay full price. Told on the phone that there is a problem with the barcodes and I could get the discount refunded. Then got a new app validation code by SMS, BUT THERE IS NO WAY OF ENTERING A NEW VALIDATION CODE INBTHE APP!! Please, United, get your act together.

I have been using the card for a number of years without a problem. 
Change to APP when notified and used once now it will not generate bar code United need to go back to cards as the APP is an absolute joke.

I downloaded the app to receive a 4c seniors discount. Downloading and setting up went well. When I click on “generate barcode” I get an error saying unable to generate a barcode. Pls try again in a few mins. Having been trying for 3 days. Same message.   No barcode, no discount. 😡 I’m aware it can only be used once a day, but not even getting one a day.

App doesn’t send verification code. The discounts are only at certain participating outlets. The participating outlets fuel is not cheaper as they raise the prices to compensate for the discount. One United station had diesel for $1.72 per litre and unfortunately wasn’t participating in the programme, down the road another United station had diesel for $1.82 per litre and was listed as a participating outlet. So realistically no discount. I found this the same at all participating stations, higher fuel prices, and non participating stations, cheaper fuel prices. The whole thing is a false and misleading. Shame on both the government and the company advertising this totally useless scheme to seniors. Delete the app and use the free NSW fuel app, this is a much better, easier and fuel efficient way of finding your nearest and cheapest fuel.

When my seniors discount cards turned up in the mail, I was impressed. And I’ve used them exclusively ever since.

But now they’re being replaced with this idiotic app. Which assumes you’re connected to the internet like some brain dead teenybopper. Well, big news flash… not all seniors are online. And even fewer have data. My phone is for incoming calls and emergencies only. So unless you provide free wifi at all your outlets, we’re done once the cards stop working.

Having to generate a new barcode every day? And only being able to fuel once? What imbecile dreamed that up? Useless on a long trip. Useless if we hear that the price is going up and we want to top up. Useless if we have two devices or two cars.

Sorry, but this app needs to be trashed and the whole thing rethought. I’m going back to Woolies because at least they have the right approach with all the work being done in the backend.

I wish there was a way to give this zero stars!

Firstly only the fuel section works, if I look for a site that accepts the app they show its location but not the fuel price, thats a bit dopey, surely they know  the price at that store, perhaps add other stores closeby to show how cheap United is compared to others

Downloaded the app. it wants you to put a verification code in that supposedly it has either SMS’d or emailed you, but neither arrive. Also, the keypad covers the verification area so you can’t type it in anyway.
They want you to call a number if it doesn’t load properly, but who has the time.

Up to now it's been super easy to use the United discount - double click to open Apple Wallet and the digital card is there in the list. 

Now we have to find the app wherever it's hiding across numerous screens on the phone (or type it's name) then tell it to generate a bar code. Significantly slower when you are trying to juggle the payment stuff as well in a line of impatient customers. The wallet "card" was much better. WHY make it harder? The development company who sold you this must be laughing.

Loaded the App, all good . First time I went to use it, it kept telling me to reload the SMS or Email code that i used when I got the App and had since deleted the code. So now I can’t get a discount as it will not progress past the login and it won’t let me delete it and restart the App. Guess I’ll just go back to Caltex
