I wanted a quick way to turn my smart TV on, and to replace my current cheap remote, so I downloaded this app. When I tried to connect it to my TV, I was slapped in the face with a subscription fee of 5.99 PER WEEK. Not per month. Week. Let's do some quick math. This app costs 5.99 per WEEK. A very good remote for an LG smart TV is $15.00. That means in 2 and a half WEEKS I could buy an actual remote instead of using this ridiculous app. I get it. Every developer wants to be paid for their work, but this is idiotic and overblown. The suggested age for this app is 4 years old. You would have to actually be 4 years old to fall for this scam of an app. This app should be free, and if they absolutely have to charge, it should be a simple one-time purchase of $3-$4, to use it forever, until the earth cracks and the sun burns out. Please stop taking simple things and trying to squeeze your customers for every single nickel and dime. We all see it and we all hate it. Do better.
Worked great till recently, now I can’t pair my Roku TV :( I pay for a universal membership too
Yea it works but cost is to high
Does not work
Great but slow sometimes if not 1ft away…
Took forever to find my tv but well see if it works
So I am not one for leaving reviews. If I don’t like the app I commonly just uninstall. But I have recently lost my TV remote and I am looking for a quick fix so I don’t have to run to the store and get a new one. Upon opening the app I was prompted to buy a monthly subscription of 5.99 to use this app. Not only could I just buy any universal remote for the same price once, but I could just get another the exact remote I need for much cheaper. I was amazed at how many positive reviews this had given the price and even more amazed that this app has made any money what’s so ever. What prompted me to write a review was I had just recently received my masters degree in business administration a little over a week ago and was blown away by this clear as day scam of a business idea. Wouldn’t buy this ridiculous subscription to turn your TV on and off, in the long run it’s probably cheaper to buy 2 remotes Incase you lose the first one😂. Don’t be scammed!
It’s states 3 day free trial but requires credit card info upfront and in the small print states you need to cancel 24 hours before the trial ends to receive a refund. On top of it all they don’t include a cancellation option on the app. Even the supposed “email support” is a fake hyperlink. They do they’re best to make it impossible for you to cancel or reach them. The app didn’t even work for me despite making sure it was connected to same WiFi, tried restarting tv, router, phone, etc. Also, $6 a WEEK to use a remote?! They have different subscription plans hidden that they don’t even explain. Save yourself the headache of dealing with this app.
I’m not sure what the right thing to say about this app as I am just starting to learn how it works but it seems like it’s the best app to learn how to play games on your downstairs neighbor has ever used it before and it’s really helpful and I really enjoy the app so much and it’s very easy to get the basics of how it works
