Great app

Who knows whi on

Hong Kong SAR China

I love that I do not have to bring the heavy books with me ( not that I have bought the divine office books)😝 it can be used offline. I did subscribe to the audio but I think it can be made a little better. If the Divine Office recording is sung… it would be great. I am happy to offer help😬 lol in the singing part Its simple to use.

Good app!

I bought this app mainly in view of Universalis' reputation in the area of making the Liturgy of the Hours accessible to computer users of the Internet. This is an excellent resource for integrating my spiritual life as an ordinary lay Catholic to the Liturgy of the Hours. Economic in the sense that the full texts of the daily public prayers of the Holy Church have been included. This means that in book form, it should cost hundreds of US dollars (and enormous physical weight as well). I appreciate especially the fact that for the part of Divine Office, Latin and English can be provided side-by-side. However this feature has not been available for the proper prayers and readings for the Mass. (I understand this may take much more effort, and thanks a lot for your great work!) No need to turn the pages across ribbons and ribbons. Thanks for making the praying of the Liturgy of the Hours into such a "convenient" and "comfortable" experience! With this app, one hardly has any more excuse not to pray ceaselessly! My little suggestion is to include some other traditional "elective" elements to this already awesome collection, e.g. Office for the Dead, some common intercessions, seven penitential psalms, little office of the Blessed Virgin, prayers before and after Mass, prayer before and after journeys, thanksgivings, etc. I hope I am not asking for too much! May God graciously reward your good works!

This is the perfect app for anyone looking to spend more time in prayer or become more involved in the church liturgy. Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, you can pull out your Universalis app and spend some time in prayer. Everything is very well laid out and easy to use. Very grateful for this app!

I recommend Universalis for many reasons, but here are three: #1 is the user interface. This app doesn’t feel like an app, it feels like a Roman Missal/volume of the LOTR that you can customize. It has been beautifully made. #2 The in app reminders are great! You can have reminders set to notify you for daily recitation of the Angelus, Mass Reading, LOTR, and more. One of my favorite features is that every hour on the hour (from 6-6) I get a verse that come up on my phone. It really helps me to pray throughout my day. Also, the reminder tone is a old church bell! Love it! #3 The remembrance cards, and smartphone calendar integration. Remembrance cards allows you to put information in for someone who has died, helping you to remember their life and pray for them annually. Because the app has a liturgical calendar built-in that will sync with the calendar on your phone, you don’t even have to go to the app to see feasts and solemnities, and the remembrance cards will be on your regular schedule.

Thank you

Universalis a wonderful app for today that we can carry with us where we go on our phone and pray the office during the day. It is both inspirational and educational.. Sometimes there is a problem though when I stop a reading and then try to continue it then goes back to the beginning of the office. I wish they could fix that glitch.. but I am very grateful for this app.

The Universalis app makes praying the Liturgy of the Hours so easy to learn. It helps build a habit of praying, especially with the reminders you can set. I appreciate some of the finer details like being able to choose the font size and the ease of navigation. This app is on my home page, so often do I use it!
