How much does Universalis cost?
Universalis has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 130.00 H$.
I love that I do not have to bring the heavy books with me ( not that I have bought the divine office books)😝 it can be used offline.
I did subscribe to the audio but I think it can be made a little better. If the Divine Office recording is sung… it would be great. I am happy to offer help😬 lol in the singing part
Its simple to use.
Good app!
I bought this app mainly in view of Universalis' reputation in the area of making the Liturgy of the Hours accessible to computer users of the Internet.
This is an excellent resource for integrating my spiritual life as an ordinary lay Catholic to the Liturgy of the Hours. Economic in the sense that the full texts of the daily public prayers of the Holy Church have been included. This means that in book form, it should cost hundreds of US dollars (and enormous physical weight as well). I appreciate especially the fact that for the part of Divine Office, Latin and English can be provided side-by-side. However this feature has not been available for the proper prayers and readings for the Mass. (I understand this may take much more effort, and thanks a lot for your great work!)
No need to turn the pages across ribbons and ribbons. Thanks for making the praying of the Liturgy of the Hours into such a "convenient" and "comfortable" experience! With this app, one hardly has any more excuse not to pray ceaselessly!
My little suggestion is to include some other traditional "elective" elements to this already awesome collection, e.g. Office for the Dead, some common intercessions, seven penitential psalms, little office of the Blessed Virgin, prayers before and after Mass, prayer before and after journeys, thanksgivings, etc. I hope I am not asking for too much!
May God graciously reward your good works!
Amazing
Very Helpful especially when you don’t have your breviary
Truth on my screen
I love having a connection to the liturgy of the church at my fingertips. It’s so easy to use. Worth the investment.
Outstanding, multifaceted app
Has the missal in there that updates daily to the year 9999, with the full mass and readings.
Excellent. Fantastic. Necessary.
Martin Kozinski, the creator of Universalis, is a master🙏🏻
Universalis is beautiful to look at, interesting in its commentary and spiritually necessary.
Love this app… I use it to pray with every day!!!
I have used this app for years and will continue using it. I also love praying along with the wonderful voice who reads through the prayers… like he’s another wonderful spiritual friend. May God bless you.
Great for the Litgury of the Hours but Glitchy Navigation
This app is great for liturgy of the hours, but the problem is it can be very difficult to switch between the hours at the top of the app. Some days don’t let you switch at all.
Faithful
I’ve used the Universalis App for many years. It is a staple of my morning prayer and meditation. It has truly deepened my relationship with God and the Tradition.
Universalis
I submit to you, what is the purpose of this short human life set before us? From the Balt. catechism and from the New Catechism:
(Paraphrasing) “to know God, love God, and serve God with all your heart: for His Glory.”
That is not reasonably possible without falling into the trap of worshiping and praying to the god of one’s own imagination unless one possesses genuine knowledge of The Word.
Universalis, read to me every morning, permits me a path to knowing the true God of the universe, the mystery of the incarnation and His passion, while safeguarding me from idiosyncratic meanderings and terminal confusions.
