## Unlock Description
You stepped away for coffee. Your Mac was wide open.

That moment of "wait, did I lock it?" — we've all been there. At the office, at a café, even at home with curious kids around. You know you should lock your Mac every time you leave. But you're human. You forget.

Unlock makes forgetting impossible.

Keep your iPhone in your pocket — that's it. Walk away, your Mac locks. Come back, it unlocks. No buttons, no shortcuts, no habits to build.

Setup takes seconds, not minutes.

There's no pairing. No codes. No Bluetooth configuration screens. Open the app on your Mac and iPhone, and they find each other. That's the entire setup. It feels almost unfair how easy it is.

Your Apple Watch works too.

Wearing your Watch but left your iPhone charging? Unlock works with both. iPhone, Apple Watch, or both at once — your Mac responds to whichever device is with you.

Two ways to lock. Your choice.

• Overlay Lock — a custom full-screen password lock that covers every display instantly
• System Lock — triggers your Mac's native lock screen, the same one you trust today

Built for how you actually work.

• Trusted WiFi — add your home network so your Mac stays unlocked where you feel safe
• Quiet Hours — disable auto-lock during focus time, meetings, or late nights
• Adjustable Distance — fine-tune how close "close" means, from arm's reach to across the room
• Lock Delay — set a grace period (3–60 seconds) so a quick stretch doesn't trigger a lock
• Pause Timer — disable protection for 5 minutes to 2 hours with one tap

Know how your day went.

Unlock quietly tracks your desk time — total hours, session count, longest stretch, daily patterns. No spreadsheets, no timers to start. Just honest data about your work rhythm, visible right from your Mac's menu bar.

Get notified. Stay calm.

When your Mac locks, your iPhone gets a notification. Whether you're across the office or across the building — you'll know it's secure.

Nothing leaves your devices.

No accounts. No sign-ups. No cloud sync. No analytics sent anywhere. Everything — your password, your desk time data, your proximity detection — stays between your Mac and your iPhone over a direct Bluetooth connection. Period.

Runs multiple Macs.

One iPhone. Many Macs. Work machine, personal machine, studio machine — manage them all from a single device.

No subscriptions. No premium tier. No ads. Every feature, every platform, included.

## Unlock Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Not as expected"
It should have been noted in the App Store description that the unlock feature is for the app’s own locking implementation, not from macOS’ login screen. You’ll only find this out after paying and launching the program’s settings. While this may serve some, I do not know how effective and secure it is compared to the System Lock, especially if the app crashes and leaves the system open. There are some other ‘proximity lock’ apps available that have a Helper that will unlock from the native lock screen, but this app is not one of them.

Also, I could not get the advertised Notifications feature to work, so I would never know if my Mac locked or not.

### ***** "It just works"
I like it already and haven’t had it installed for more than a half hour. It just works! I mainly use Windows for my corporate machine and Windows 11 has dynamic lock built in, tied to my iPhone. I step away and it locks my computer. I was searching for something like that built into Tahoe, but couldn’t find it, then I found this and had to give it a try. I work in cybersecurity and having a secure computer is a must. I’ve seen people do silly things to other’s computers when they walk away from them leaving them unlocked. This app solves the problem for MacOS, and I’m glad I found it.

### ***** "No complaints so far"
No complaints, works as intended so far. Super easy to configure too :) Great job!

### ***** "Awesome app"
Works as intended, runs quietly in the background.

### ***** "Hesistant at first but 10000% happy I bought it."
I have recently been spending much time around people. Listen, I love my family and my partner, BUT I don’t need them to mess with my messages on my Mac or work stuff.

I was initially hesitant to buy since the one review was bad, but I looked up the developer in the App Store and saw he made lots of very good, reliable apps, so I took the leap. Glad I did.

1. It does work
2. Software updates happen regularly, so kudos to you
3. I have it set up with my Apple Watch it comes down to Range and interference. I’ll explain below:

If I walk into the kitchen, 10 feet away, it's locked. If I want to my bedroom and back, it is father, but it has thinner walls. It is hit or miss if it locks.

Just keep in mind the infrastructure of your home.

For the developer. I would love to see an Apple Watch compilation that allows you to just tap a lock button on the watch face to lock the Mac screen.

### *---- "Decieving"
App name implies it unlocks computer, this is not the case. It only locks it.
