Welcome to the Labs! In Upload Labs you are tasked to save the universe from the inevitable heat death. Use your ingenuity and power to build optimized systems using a  node-based system. These nodes are window-like interfaces representing components and processes within your computer. You will connect nodes from output to input to control resource flow and data pipelines

Research: Scan files to unlock powerful new technologies via the research tree. There you will find game-changing nodes, innovative systems, and scientific milestones, all critical for achieving your ultimate goal.

Hack: Strategically engage in breaches of organizations through hacking. This provides access to critical intel, enables the disruption of opposing systems, and secures resources vital for your mission.

Good bones. Looks nice until you start playing. It would be a lot less frustrating to play if the text was more visible. Like it stops zooming right before it’s readable. Aside from ports of old games, and games that have not been updated for modern iPhones, this is the first out of probably 100 games I’ve played on iOS I simply cannot read on my iPhone pro max. Brightness at 100% so it drains my battery. I’m not color blind but I tried enabling it. “Glow” seems to help a small amount, but that could just be an optical illusion since it make the board more pleasant to look at overall. And the UI scaling slider does not help the super faint, thin, stylish font used for upgrade costs, resource rates, etc. It’s bad enough I’m surprised it made it through Apple QC, tbh.

You know, just the most important text for an incremental. 

Then there’s the connectors. Maybe I just need to get over it, but dragging wires back across the body of the structure and doing hairpin turns into the port.. that’s how USB-C fires start lol. Then unless you stack everything together to hide it, you always have to see the millimeter of wire hanging out the left side of the structure. I don’t have a good answer for that, in on the left, out on the right make sense, but even during the tutorial I got stuck because I thought there’s no way it’s going to make me drag that wire all the way back across, but it did, because there’s no way to move the network controller to make both the input and output look nice. Maybe there are zip ties in the utility drawer I missed.

Wires are incredibly hard to follow. If you tap a connection node, it will highlight the wire, so you can track where it’s going, but when you tap off to deselect, it will begin attempting to create a new connection. You also can’t choose the path/corners/bends/turns for the wire. Unless it’s buried in “connector edit” mode. I tapped that icon but the only difference I noticed was the connection terminals popped up with their shapes being more visible. I didn’t see where I could add a turn.

On top of all that, it’s incredibly easy to fat thumb a cluster of stacked connections and break the whole thing. Touch controls are very clunky. When you’re dragging a connection point, it’s too small to see under your finger if you found the plug. Get it wrong and start over, or worse, replace another connection and now you have to fix stuff. I’ve pretty much given up on groups. If you don’t tap the resize handles just right, it will
