SMART is responsible for The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW), a public safety resource that provides the public with free access to sex offender data nationwide. This application is designed to provide additional access to NSOPW. This app provides users with information about registered sex offenders that have residential, employment, or school addresses that are within a close proximity of the mobile device running the app. Searches can be conducted nationally using a ¼ mile, ½ mile, or 1 mile radius or by offender name. The initial search will be performed based upon the location of the mobile device, but searches can be run from other locations by tapping those locations on the map. In the event that the registering jurisdiction (state, territory, Indian tribe, or District of Columbia) for the user’s area does not allow searching by geographic coordinates for registered sex offender addresses, a zip code search will be used to find matching offenders and the results can be viewed by tapping the status message at the top of the app. NSOPW is actively working with all jurisdictions to allow searching by geographic coordinates and will modify the app searching capabilities as improvements become available. Please be aware that when you tap the “More Information” button when viewing the details of a matching record you will be directed to the details about the particular registered sex offender on the registering jurisdiction’s public sex offender website. These websites are outside of NSOPW’s control and may not be mobile device friendly. The purpose of this app is solely to provide users with the ability to search for registered sex offender by location and name. If you would like sexual abuse education and prevention information or have questions about sex offender registration in general please visit NSOPW at nsopw.gov. ## US Dept Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource112/v4/9e/9b/1a/9e9b1af0-7487-05a0-68d7-d4f0443a1596/b0f77819-5fac-41b6-a77e-3d6cacbd2012_iPhone_13_Pro_Max-1.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource122/v4/58/53/2b/58532b59-4ca6-9b5e-464c-635ffd9fa494/96e45db0-5c9c-4536-967e-e50a80df4c81_iPhone_13_Pro_Max-2.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource122/v4/9d/5b/53/9d5b53e8-04b5-46d9-86b9-b90d959f11e8/f3bca044-0e5d-4dcf-b356-873abd6d7216_iPhone_13_Pro_Max-3.png/1284x2778.png) ## US Dept Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 2,700 (85%) - 4 stars: 112 (4%) - 3 stars: 50 (2%) - 2 stars: 31 (1%) - 1 stars: 270 (9%) ## US Dept Reviews in United States ### ***** "Best money move ever" Y’all hurting for bread there’s a dummy near you 😈 -- Cuck_lover69, 2024-12-28 ### ***** "It makes me and my family feel safe" I love the app -- Fishpluged, 2024-10-21 ### ****- "Awesome- just one lil bug" I love this app, it makes me feel more educated and safe and knowledgeable about what areas are safe for me. The only thing I will say is I live in Washington, and that’s one of the states that doesn’t support the range being less than a mile. When you open the map, the setting is automatically set to a quarter mile, so you get a pop up saying to change it every time. This is super nit-picky, but I wish it just started at the one mile setting so I didn’t get that pop up every time. -- magicmonkeygonebananas, 2024-09-03 ### *---- "Very unsatisfied" Very disappointed on downloading the app and letting it take $14 out my debit card knowing the app doesn’t work properly always saying come back try again later !!! Never again don’t waste your time or money on this app -- andndnf, 2024-07-27 ### *---- "CA" Does this app not work in California anymore? -- BG_DK, 2024-07-01 ### *---- "Not working" I live in California and the app has been having issues for a while now. It shows an error message when I try searching before this issue the app was working grate and I loved it but now I uninstalled it and installed back and the same issue is happening sad we can’t see anything I hope it gets fixed. -- coldplayer28, 2024-06-03 ### ***-- "Error bug" It’s a good app to have but the reports for 5 offenders in my area always states “report error invalid number”. This is very vital information. I first thought that it was just a glitch on one report but it’s the same for all of them. -- Concerned populous, 2024-05-18 ### *---- "Error occurred" Why keep showing error occurred please check again later? -- ywanggmu, 2024-05-16 ### *---- "Lack of information." I just downloaded the app because we have a son and saw in our local paper that there were 56 Offenders and when I search my local area it shows zero! -- Benny333444, 2024-05-11 ### ***** "Smart" Wow it’s nice to have this,I just found out that someone 2 houses away from me was a child predator and just recently got arrested and what scared me the most is I remember when I was a kid like around 8-9 he wanted me to go inside his house for some reason I can’t remember but I ran away because my mother told me to stay away from that house, but I wish this app worked in my state though 😢 -- Forgotten756854, 2024-05-03 [View all US Dept reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## US Dept Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Free | United States | Reference | #68 | ## US Dept Discovered Keywords - busted - offender locator lite - watchdog - institute - crime spot - dept --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
