## VanAlert Description
VanAlert is an app specifically made for VW Vanagon & Bus owners.

Stolen Vanagons
The main purpose of this app is to help recover stolen Vanagons. We have a REPORT STOLEN VAN feature which in case your van is stolen, you fill out the form with your vehicle's information and a photo. Once we receive it we put out a PUSH NOTIFICATION to all VanAlert users/Vanagon owners. This helps get the community involved in helping locate your Van, they'll be notified with all of the information you provided.

Repair Shop Database
We have a database of reputable repair shops that know how to work on these classic vehicles. Say for instance, if you break down, simply open the VanAlert app and click on the Repair Shops icon. A listing of crowdsourced repair shops that other Vanagon/Bus owners have used and recommend that are in the area will show up based on your current GPS location. All of the contact info is there at your fingertips.

Event Calendar
A nationwide VW Event Calendar is available that'll list every VW Event within your area so there is no stressing out over missing one. These are also crowd sourced by attendees and event organizers.

## VanAlert Reviews in United States

### *---- "No longer usable"
I login but I get a login error even though I’m logged in. I can’t even access the main feed. Pretty frustrating.
-- Mr. Rutherford The Brave, 2022-11-22

### ***-- "Is this app still active/supported?"
I can seem to load anything when I open the app?
-- Slycat67, 2022-10-03

### ***** "Great app for the Westy and Vanagon community"
Very slick app that saved my bacon a few times on my last road trip.
You’ll find hosts who might let you stay in the driveway (or up in their upper hill campsite, as I did in Nashville), recommended camp spots and mechanics all over, and a wonderful community of very nice folks who will help you out with advice, knowledge, recommendations, and support.
If you own a Vanagon, you should have this app.
-- ArsLonga, 2021-12-23

### **--- "Needs improvement"
This app needs so much work. I can only search for driveway hosts and campsites around my current location, so it don’t allow me to plan ahead if I’m on a long trip.
-- clipclopcomplainalot, 2021-07-19

### ***** "Amazing, almost"
Great app!! The one thing needed is to search for van support outside of your immediate area. If you resize or drag the map, it should repopulate. Then it would be useful as a planning tool as well and not just when in immediate need of help. For instance planning a trip, where are the various shops to have in mind, or plan an oil change etc. But otherwise amazing app. Thx!

### **--- "Neat app, but"
The fact that I need to teach to the password every time iPas OS updates gets old. Deleted it. Too buggy.
-- Jonathan Cooper, 2021-05-20

### ***** "Informative"
I didn’t find my stolen van from this app, but listing it here made me feel better. I found it by checking for parking tickets online with the license#.
I will be using it and listing some very nice free spots up the Oregon and north coast of California.
-- silent spreader, 2020-08-24

### ***** "You Need This App"
Plain and simple, if you own a Vanagon you need the app now!
-- RightBraneDesign, 2020-07-18

### ***** "5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
Best vanagon app ever!!!! Thank you for making this 🥰
-- #GoWestley, 2019-12-01

### ***** "Every VW Van owner should have this!"
Just stumbled on this app and it’s so cool! So much more than Stolen Van Alerts (which is enough of a reason to download). Did your van break down on a trip? Find a friendly ‘rescue’ volunteer here! If your new rescue friend can’t help you resolve the issue, no problem, you can find a recommended VW shop in your area. Looking for a free VW friendly place to park in the city? No sweat, there are tons of VW ‘hosts’ who will lend you a parking spot, shore power, and even WiFi! (You may even be able to do a load of laundry if you’re lucky.) Or find a local pay or even a free camping spot in the great outdoors. The more people use this the better resource it will be for everyone so come‘on ya’ll what are you waiting for? It’s FREE and awesome!
