The Vancouver Sun app connects you to the news you need to know. Create your custom feed so you don't miss the latest from your favourite writers.

Features include:

· Enjoy the wide variety of comprehensive explainers on issues shaping your community and compelling longreads from our top journalists — plus extensive video coverage.
· Navigate directly to individual publications from across the Postmedia network.
· You can choose your preferred publications when you first open the new app, ensuring a curated news feed that aligns with your interests.
· Use the Discover tab to explore trending stories from our newsrooms across Canada.
· Personalize your news experience by selecting topics, journalists and columnists you want to see more of, so your feed will be filled with the content and perspectives you enjoy.
· Online Access and Home Delivery subscribers receive unlimited access to content on the app, included with your subscription.
· App readers can access one free article before being prompted to register to gain access to two more articles.

If you are not an existing subscriber, you can easily sign up through the app marketplace.

· Payment will be charged to your store account upon confirmation of purchase.
· Subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
· The account will now be charged $14.99 for monthly renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
· You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal after purchase in the App settings. Select "My Subscription" then "Manage my Subscription" and you will be able to make changes.

### **--- "Doesn’t allow you to select and look up words"
Unacceptable for the newspaper of a multicultural city. I can't select a word to look it up in the dictionary. Maybe they’re trying to prevent copying of their content, as if preventing selection of text will stop the few who will do that, while causing all the normal users to suffer. For me it's the dictionary lookups, for some it'll be the Speak selection feature, for others it will be the Translate feature, and for many it will be the upcoming Apple Intelligence summarize feature. Nope, you can't use any of those features with this app.

If I like to read articles in portrait mode on an iPad, the app should rotate to this orientation. Really basic user experience overlooked.  Ads incessantly violate your eyes as you attempt to read an article.

The top stories loads somewhat slowly. The next sections takes minutes to load each one. The later sections never load. You’re constantly asked to reenter your password. Honestly, I’m considering not te-subscribing, because the app is unusable.

The new update had made the app terrible. It was so good before. I would get on and read all the articles and be done. Now there’s unlimited amounts of articles (which sucks as I would rather just read the top ones like the other app had) and on top of that almost all of them require you to have a paid subscription to read the article…. App is garage now. Coming from a guy who doesn’t write bad reviews often.

I have reinstalled this app several times and after one use it stalls and I get a blank. I pay for the subscription and have for years but when I contact the Sun I receive an email thanking me but they are busy. Weeks later I get another email saying they are working on it. Hah.  Lousy service VS!

The app now freezes when the share button is pushed instead of showing a useless grey article with all the icons missing. They really need to do more testing before pushing out releases. 

At least the in app email feedback system works again in this version.
