The VanMoof is truly a bike that is ahead of the competition. It’s fun, sleek, quick and a real eye catcher. I’ve had many people come up to me interested in learning more about it. I’ve had my S3 for over a year now and it has been great. No major issues or concerns. However, I would like more frequent updates to the software. There’s so much potential and it would be great for new features to be released every so often. VanMoof seems to only focus on their newest bikes and looses focus of their previous bikes. Also, their bike hunters channel on YouTube is so fun to watch but for some reason they don’t make them anymore, bummer. If you’re thinking about getting a VanMoof, just do it. I spent weeks contemplating on it because of the negative reviews and one day I decided to go for it. Best decision I made thus far! They have a trial period, so go for it! ENJOY!! 🚲💨
Mostly everything has worked for me with my S5 since April 2023. The Lock Screen widgets and Apple Watch integration are nice touches. What doesn’t work: 1. Apple Find My is so unreliable (can show past location of bike and say you left it behind while you are riding). Find My sound also doesn’t work. 2. Unlock worked flawlessly until something changed with last firmware update (6/23). Now sometimes the bike won’t unlock and takes some minutes to keep trying. Feature Request: 1. Show the assist level permanently in the display while riding instead of only when changing it. 2. Integrate with Apple Maps or Google Maps for native navigation in the app. Using the nav apps independently loses display of battery level, speed, etc. so not as good. 3. Integration with Apple workouts and Apple Health.

The bike is fun to ride when it works. Recently it won’t turn on for me. It just flashes on and off and won’t let me reset it. I’ve been waiting for weeks for support to respond to me and it is starting to get ridiculous. I basically have a $2500 brick. Really disappointed in this company at the moment.
Worst customer experience ever. I got error 44, I need a new e shifter - the chat not (only customer service available) doesn’t understand my request. Live chat is supposed to be available until 630 EST - even though it’s much earlier, I still can’t get live customer support, the bot tells me it’s closed. I have a very expensive non-functional bike that repeatedly fails.
This app is stupid that it cannot function when your Apple Watch did not connected to iPhone. So you cannot use touch unlock when you wear Watch only even it’s a cellular enabled which did make any sense.
New update doesn’t track rides at all - weeks have gone by with intermittent tracking - used to be flawless.
Loved the bike until it completely stopped working. That was almost 3 months ago. Still waiting on a box to get the bike repaired. Support is less than helpful. How is it taking months to ship a box? How long will the actual repair take? Ridiculous.
On iOS 16, the app is logging me out and saying with any network “This connection is not private” please fix ASAP
