## Vehicle Maintenance Tracker Description
Vehicle Maintenance Tracker (VMT) is a simple yet powerful tool designed to help you keep a complete history of your vehicles’ maintenance. Whether you're tracking a single car or managing a fleet, VMT makes it easy to stay organized and informed.

Key Features:
*Add and update vehicle details, including photo, VIN, license plate, year, make, model, tire size, oil filter type, current odometer, and annual maintenance costs.
*Set, view, and reset due dates for upcoming services.
*Archive vehicles you no longer own and restore or permanently delete them at any time.
*Manage maintenance records for multiple vehicles—oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, and more.
*Attach photos of maintenance receipts for better documentation.
*Search and filter maintenance records easily.
*Maintenance entries are organized and sorted chronologically for quick reference.
*Export or email vehicle data in CSV format for printing or sharing.

I hope you enjoy using VMT as much as I enjoyed building it. If you have any questions, feedback, or suggestions, feel free to reach out—and don't forget to join the **VMT community on Facebook**! It's the best way to connect with me and other users, get updates, and suggest new features.

Happy Tracking!

## Vehicle Maintenance Tracker Reviews in United States

### *---- "Dates disappear"
When the an upgrade to the app all the service dates disappeared
-- Jannfer, 2026-10-07

### ***-- "Service records vanished"
They did an update and lost a huge amount of historical service records. Seriously it really set me back especially since I want to sell one of the cars and show the service records.
-- Jay XIV, 2026-10-06

### *---- "Do not upgrade to the newest version of VMT."
The newest update changed all of my entries for the past four years to January one.

Now none of my entries are set up by date, and I can’t tell when I had worked done on the vehicle.
-- Mrush3, 2026-10-05

### ***-- "Date Fields Cleared"
I’ve been using this app for years to track multiple vehicles and I love its simplicity! However, a recent update wiped every date field. Now, I don’t trust that other data might disappear someday.
-- Oslo Tattler, 2026-10-04

### *---- "Move it, lose it"
Transferred to a new iPhone. Lost all dates of service. Version will not allow custom maintenance entries. Must use table. Table lacking categories. Wow, such a decline in my satisfaction after years of using this app.
-- Ben-there, 2026-10-03

### **--- "All dates reset to Jan 1900"
This app seemed to be exactly what I was looking for to keep track of the 5 vehicles we own so I gave it a try. After a month and half with several detailed entries, all the dates reset to Jan 1 , 1900. That’s a real drag because I set maintenance schedules for the future based off of various dates so now I have to dig up my receipts again to redo the dates…..or I may just try a different app and hope it’s more reliable.
-- Mondo2k, 2026-09-30

### ***-- "Really like, but…"
I’ve been using this app for a while with no issues. I really liked it, but now all of the dates reset to Jan 01, 0001.
-- GennaCor, 2026-09-25

### **--- "App was working great"
App was working great until it wasn’t. All my service dates are now showing 01-01-0001. App crashes whenever I try to view receipts and the app just crashes. Very disappointing and annoying.
-- timmytordedo, 2026-09-24

### **--- "Why?"
I used and appreciated this app but when the app deleted the dates of ALL previous service records I quit using it. I would gladly upgrade to Pro but am afraid the same thing would happen.
-- jmb6420, 2026-09-24

### **--- "Can’t trust the app"
Dates all cleared out randomly after years of tracking and developer is telling people “they should have read the fine print” Lots of free competitor apps. I’ll be switching
-- Senrux, 2026-09-22

### **--- "I loved the app but it lost all service records."
I have used this app for quite sometime but the latest update wiped out all the dates of all service records in all vehicles. So disappointing
-- FuzzyBori, 2026-09-20

### ***** "Effective minimalist"
This isn’t a fancy app. It does what it says in the tin. Feel is like developer made something that would work for them and stopped there. Very effective minimalist implementation.
-- Firelilly452, 2026-09-20

### *---- "Dates"
This app was great until the developer errored on an update causing all users to lose dates of events.
-- DieselD2019, 2026-09-16

### *---- "Once good now terrible"
The app lost all my Vehicle update dates according to the app every oil change bearing replacement, etc. happened in January 1 in year the year 0001. Makes it really difficult to know the last time I performed certain maintenance. In addition every time I open the app it says my garage is empty and takes two or three minutes to find all my vehicles and equipment.
-- dog days gone by, 2026-09-15

### ***-- "Lost my service dates"
Liked it until I lost my service dates.

Beware of this.

Not sure if backing up would help.
-- Handyman7676, 2026-09-15

### *---- "Erased my dates"
Used it for a long while. Recently all my dates are changed to 1-1-1900 so all that work is lost.
-- GeoKohn, 2026-09-12

### *---- "All dates erased"
Lost all service dates with an update and have not been able to recover them. Moving on to a new app.
-- Sammyk77, 2026-09-11

### **--- "Good basic maintenance tracker, but BEWARE!"
I have used VMT on my IPad for over 4 years. I have 2 cars and 2 standby generators that I maintain and this has been a good way to kept record of it. However, I opened the App the other day and while my records were there including my text inputted service notes, ALL THE DATES had defaulted to 1900 and all the mileage and hour records were gone. Really a problem! If you use this app, include dates and mileage in the service notes for backup.
-- Mr BEW, 2026-09-08

### **--- "Service dates gone"
I recently noticed the new update which looks nice but noticed all the service dates are gone. This is very inconvenient but good thing that the mileage is on there but now I don’t know the last date of when they were service good thing I end up putting dates on like oil filters and things like that. Not a good move. Can this be archived?
-- Fabian V 94, 2026-09-04

### **--- "Service dates"
Been using this app for many years and have five vehicles in the garage, then it must of been after an app update it changed all my service date entries to 01-01-1900. I would have given it five stars but since this issue I gave it only two
