I want my money back, I was tracking my ship with the lite version, after 4 or 5 days stop working and suggest an update to Pro Version, I bought it and now said I have to but the satellite option. RIP OFF / DONT BUY

Used the free version to track a car carrier and found it always hours old so decided to pay £9.99 with the impression I would be able to access the real time updates. What a waste, all it does is remove adds which didn’t impact on the free version. Only way for real time viewing is paying a monthly sub. Total rip off and no response from developers for a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

Downloaded Vessel Finder Lite. It showed where ships were, but did not list their names. I upgraded to Pro, and still it did not list the names. Downloaded CruiseMapper for free, and it list names of ships and more. Including details of the ships and itineraries. Asked for a refund.

I was using the Lite version to find a friend’s boat which was on a voyage from the Bahamas to Bermuda. As expected the AIS position was 6 days old (because they were outside the range of terrestrial receivers), but it told me there was a more recent satellite AIS position available. I clicked that and it said I needed to upgrade to the Pro version. For £9.99 I thought that would be worthwhile as I could then track their progress on their next leg to the Azores. Paid for the upgrade, tried to view the satellite AIS position with that only to be told that I need a subscription at > 80 Euros per month! Wish I hadn’t been fooled into buying the Pro version as it offers nothing extra that I need.

The free version of this application is well written but would benefit by having additional features. The ‘Pro’ version would seemingly offer the extra functionality but because the software, in my opinion, is so poorly written it lacks use ability. You can’t even verify your password details because there is no reveal option! It is no wonder that the feedback score is so low…

Looking at the other reviews I can only think they’ve fixed it as it seems much better than Ship Finder.

Don’t bother buying the pro version it gives you nothing more that the free lite version. The reports are all well out of date and the only way to get up to date positions from satellite is to pay even more by a monthly subscription. Whether that works or not I’ll not bother wasting anymore money to find out. There are better apps than this. If I could give this zero stars I would have!

Hopeless at locating a vessel!!! Don’t buy!

People complaining about not tracked for 3 days. I was moored in Paris I then moved to the south of France. 2 months later I am still on Paris!!!!

According to this ap my boat has been in Dartmouth for 3 days when in actual fact we are now on the way back from Falmouth. I paid for the pro version as well - rubbish
