## VHMDX Map Description
VHMDX Map is a purpose-built offline navigation app for the search for VH-MDX — the light aircraft that disappeared over the Barrington Tops in 1981 and has never been found.

Built by the Barrington Research Group (BRG) for search teams and volunteers working the Gloucester Tops, VHMDX Map works entirely offline once maps are downloaded — essential in steep, remote country with no mobile coverage.

FEATURES

• Offline topographic maps — download detailed maps of the Gloucester Tops search area and use them with no signal.
• GPS track recording — log exactly where you have searched, continuing in the background and while the screen is locked.
• Waypoints — mark points of interest, hazards, access points and finds, with notes and photos.
• UTM grid overlay and live grid-reference readout for precise, consistent location reporting between teams.
• Weather — current conditions, hourly and 7-day forecast, recent rainfall and river levels for the area.
• Share tracks and waypoints with other searchers to coordinate coverage.

VHMDX Map is focused on the Gloucester Tops region and is intended specifically for the VH-MDX search effort.

VHMDX Map is operated by the Barrington Research Group.
