VicGold is a smartphone App for gold prospectors in Victoria Australia.
It combines the convenience of Mapbox Maps, using beautiful super fast loading vector map tilesets rendered by your devices GPU, with a large and ever growing amount of historic information showing where gold was found previously, from way back to our original gold rush, up to the current day, contained in simple to use layer overlays. It also features GPS Geo-location, allowing you to Locate or Track yourself live on the map, and put yourself right on on top of the gold. In addition to online Mapbox Maps, Offline maps are also available and included for all of Victoria, for when you want to prospect in areas where there is no mobile coverage.
