I don’t have too many complaints but this is by far the biggest one so far! Sometimes the app does not identify correctly, therefore that option was really nice to have. Please bring it back!

The other app worked great, this one not so much. It does not identify birds anymore, and won’t let me identify unknown birds manually. It just leaves them as unknown. The old app I was able to select which bird it was. Please fix this, I’m tired of seeing ‘unknown’ birds which clearly could be identified.

It’s not horrible, it’s a nice format, but some of the features need to come back. First, I hate the fact that being able to manually pick the birds is gone. PLEASE fix this! it often doesn’t identify it, and I used to be able to change it. However, there is better connectivity.

Just added App - terrible. Picture is less sharp, cannot see full live screen, doesn’t appear to have option to use portrait view, too many “no bird” photos in library. All those negative features after 5 min of use. I haven’t even gotten into checking the settings failures as described in other reviews. Developer needs to go back too the drawing board and Vico needs to stick with what it did better. I won’t recommend their bird cam to friends if the App is the only way to use it.

A seamless integration with the camera and history. Easy to understand the new features I Especially like the name of the bird showing up now on the history list.
There are a few bugs that maybe the latest update will fix. 
The screen locks up if you’re viewing your library too quickly. You need to close and restart to continue.

It’s not recording and storing my bird activity and support does not respond. I’ve sent 6 messages through the app over 3 weeks and 3 emails. They basically just cost us $200 in equipment because the recording is the main reason you get this birdfeeder over a plain bird-feeder. My camera needs to be awakened manually, app won’t save the daylight times I want it to be awake and contacting customer service was worthless and frustrating. I was hopeful that the new app would be better but it isn’t.

After being forced to move to the new app I’m disappointed by some features that are missing that the old app had. The new app doesn’t identify which videos I’ve already viewed. I view the videos throughout the day and miss being able to know which ones I’ve already seen. Also missing the ability to manually enter the species of the bird when the app identifies that there is a bird but shows the species as unknown. Please bring these features back!

VicoHome worked perfectly fine. This is a huge downgrade. Out of over 100 events today, 6 were actually birds. The rest were my empty backyard. I even checked the sensitivity, but it’s already at the lowest setting. I finally had to mute notifications because of how annoying it is to constantly be interrupted with the promise of wildlife, only to be disappointed. I’m also not entirely sure it’s not just capturing too late, because suddenly I have way fewer birds and roughly the same number of events on a given day. Please fix it. 😭
