Victrola Stream Reviews

Keeps losing default speaker group

majelbstoat on

United States

Easy to set up, but frequently forgets the default speaker group setting, which means nothing comes out when you start to play. This seems to happen most often when grouping rooms such that the default room becomes part of a group. As a result I have to keep coming back into the app, which is somehow both barebones and poorly designed.

Doesn’t recognize my Victrola.

In fact, nothing recognizes my victrola. Hot garbage.

Functional but flawed

The app works well enough, mostly you’ll use the Sonos app after setting up your turntable. Biggest issue I have seen so far is there doesn’t appear to be a way to assign Sonos groups in this app, just the individual speakers. Even then, I don’t always see all of my speakers in the list.

Works Great!

My victrola connected seamlessly and i had no issues getting it working. Not much else to say to be honest.

Very Simple setup UI Could be better

westy214 on

The directions are simple and make it easy to setup everything right out of the box. The app however is a bit dated in design with slightly unclear menu options and a somewhat poorly made layout design.

Simple! Setup once and done!

Love the new Sonos compatible turntable which this app supports!!! Best part is once you go through the set-up and get everything configured, you only need it if you are making a change to how you want it to behave with Sonos.

Dont recognize

The spp dont recognize my victrola 🤷🏽‍♂️

Warning: App is still very buggy

Mjalafita on

United States

Installation was very seamless, and the turntable sounds great. However, I am constantly having to unplug it, and unplug all of my speakers pretty much every time I want to play the turntable. Otherwise, I get the orange flashing light in front, even though I have a designated speaker identified in the app. I have looked at what little troubleshooting guideline there is online and have followed each instruction to the letter. Regardless, the only thing that seems to work is to unplug everything and then replug it in each time I want to use it. Hopefully this will improve with updates to the app.

Worked seamless with my Sonos ecosystem

Happystupid on

I unboxed the unit, hit the QR code and then downloaded the Victrola app. Once I entered my WiFi and password, my three Sonos zones appeared and I chose the one in my living room as default. In under five minutes, I was streaming vinyl across all speakers. I’m tech savvy enough to set up Sonos and add components to my WiFi or Bluetooth, and this wasn’t any more difficult than doing either of those. Love the sound quality of records through my Sonos system!

Victrola App

I’ve had a real positive experience when connecting my turntable to my sonos five speaker. Was easy to follow the apps start guide. The first time took a few extra seconds to connect but all reconnections have been seamless and fast! Sound quality has been excellent as well!
