## Vinegar Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.

Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!

(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

Long story short, this was a 5 star add-on, which made YouTube bearable again. Unfortunately, Google have begun cracking down on add-one like this across various platforms of late, and Vinegar is yet another that has been affected.

Hopefully, the developers are aware of this, and will be working to update it, but I think that people thinking about purchasing this should be aware to hold off for now.

Perfect little app. Unobtrusive & works seamlessly  on YouTube. Would love the option to replace annoying video players on other sites.

It's really good but..
The only part I'm annoyed about is the "continue watching". Apparently this extention was meant to stop Youtube from popping up that annoying "Continue watching" javascript nonsese which it doesnt.

I also heavilty dislike the black bar it places on top of the video.. rather then making the buttons inside the video frame and act similar to the video scrubber (pause, play, volume etc) it chooses to place a black bar across the entire video frame with the buttons inside that black bar which never fades away. 

I'd highly recommend this app besides the points i outlined which im sure can/will be fixed. it's very very good!
