Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.
It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.
Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!
(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

Shorts not working
The shorts are loading only audio and a black box or a really small video on top of the short’s thumbnail.
Me encantó.
Promete lo que dice, no me da anuncios, y al mismo tiempo puedes verlo en una imagen dentro de otra (PIP). Cuando apagas el celular mientras se reproduce el video, sigue reproduciéndose. Son funciones útiles y exclusivas de el Youtube Premiun, así que considero que vale la pena por el precio que se paga.

Its is ok but you cant see time stamps on videos and stuff like that. It lacks some features

Muy buena app, tiene cosas que mejorar pero se actualiza constantemente y me parece indispensable para cualquiera que use constantemente YouTube, se salta los anuncios de YouTube en Safari, la recomiendo ampliamente.
