Scan or type any VIN and VINsight shows what owners have reported going wrong with that model year, which nearby years drew the most complaints, and every recall issued for the model — plus crash-test stars, specs and fuel costs. All from official U.S. government data, on one screen.

KNOWN PROBLEMS, IN OWNERS' OWN WORDS
- Owner complaints filed with NHTSA for the model year, grouped by part: power train, engine, electrical, brakes and more
- How many complaints each part drew, with crash and fire counts
- The newest reports owners wrote for each part, so you see what actually happened

Everything comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Complaints are reported by owners and are not verified by NHTSA. Recalls are issued for a model, not for one car: confirm a specific car's repair status with its VIN at NHTSA or a dealer. The information is for reference and is not a safety guarantee.
